So I'm headed out to an 1/8th mile NHRA track on Saturday. They sell fuel at the track, but the lowest they sell is 101oct. Considering the Cosworth tune is set up for 91oct., Is it going to be bad if I run 101 in the car for a day at the races?

u may not make anymore power but it will keep u from having any detonation at the track so it will be good if u plan to beat the hell out of it in the heat

also i believe 101 oct is leaded or low-lead. I am surprised they dont have a VP 100oct unleaded there if you have to.

Lowest unleaded is 101. Lowest leaded is 108. I'm not going to be using the 101 for any power increase, just so that I can have the least amount of fuel in the tank as possible upon arrival and for the trip home. So it won't be for a power adder, but more of a make sure the car still runs deal. Mostly concerned that it's not going to damage anything.

It won't damage anything for a track day, but it wouldn't be a good habit to get into. Over time running higher-octane-than-neccessary fuels will leave carbon deposits in the cylinders. A single tank shouldn't be enough to do anything significant.
