I have never done this before, so I wouldnt really know, I know that a shop locally charges about $12-$1400 for swapping out a clutch.

so really the total is $1880? the shipping of the tranny cost us $200 both ways, so $400 total?

did you ever get the better 3rd gear synchros (are those included in the ring and pinion?) could I just buy that off you seperate if I feel like building it myself later?

These tranny swaps are still available and will continue to be offered for a long time, I don't see that changing any time soon. We have all of the compenants in stock. I say this because ask me about it.

What about shipping in B.C. Canada, around Fort St-John

What is a "good" core in the fine print at the bottom exactly mean?

That price Would also mean I would have to pay 400 for install... So $2300 for a the whole thing installed....

yeah but with any tranny part you will have to pay an assboatload to get them installed, so having them all in the car at once is the best option we have right now and then slamming it in.

some people quote changing the focus clutch at $1400! just to replace it! not even including buying the new ones, now THATS stupid

I had a quote out here for a 380 for a tranny swap and was going to only charge 25 more for replacing a Flywheel and Clutch if I porvided.

The cheapest quote I got for a diff swap was $1100. The F2 option seems awesome to me. I'm gonna go for the quaife and 4.06 final drive I think

thats pretty good, the place my friend went to must have been a huge ripoff.

replacing the clutch and flywheel once the tranny removed is pretty straight forward, might as well get the mechanic to do it so it has some sort of guarantee on it.

and terrible1, I have been mulling over 4.02 gears for the longest time, still havent been able to come to a decision though, what made you decide that?

this sounds cool Ricardo. I havent heard any other prices for this, so your price is my baseline now. I wont be a customer for a while though :(

What made me decide that?? I was looking over the gear ratios for the Integra GSR that my buddy has that keeps beating me. He has a Jackson SC and full exhaust. His 3rd gear KILLS me! I'm hoping this will help...plus focusownerkid tells me a 4.06 FD is killer in a boosted foci..... I'm not sure :dunno:

If you cant keep the wheels from spining with the stock a higher gear is only going to make it worse. But the Diff should help. It will provide more TQ off the line if you can hook up.

I will get it...

Does any one know what the RPM's are on a 406 gears at 75 MPH high way speed?

What is a "Good" transmission that is said at the bottom of the order page?

If it needs more of a rebuild will you take some $$ off the refund of the Core?

I am having problems with 2nd (the syncros I think are shot) so would that not qualify as a good core?

I am the same way...

Have to use those student loans for the things that realy matter!

Anyone with one of these trannys yet? Im curious what the 3rd gear synchro is like.

So i'm in the market for a new clutch and flywheel and thinking just buy the tranny from f2. Basically, if i request a torsen diff and 4.06 gear, they will be installed with correct lash as well as new bearings and syncros in the tranny? This seems a bit like a steal lol.

but yeah what crazywella said has anyone received one yet?
