Thats what happens when you leave your bottle on overnight and have a leaky solenoid! N20 fills the manifold overnight, start the car and whammy! That's what someone whos running Nitrous told me when I mentioned this to him.

That someone who runs nitrous doesn't know what he is talking about. Nitrous doesn't blow **** apart... well, it would blow the bottom end apart, but that is about it.

Not even if all your bottle pressure has been sitting in the manifold over night? That was his explanation to me; he left the bottle open over night and the NOS entered the manifold throughout the night and whammy.

No, nitrous is not flammable and therefore would no blow the manifold/car apart. It would, however, scatter the bottom end due to an extremely lean afr.

Wow, so what caused his intake and front end to go boom. Only happened after he installed NOS? I'll reread everything again.

Fuel Puddling. I am thinking about using Nitrous during the summer. What is puddling? Thanks.

Tim

Ouch. Thanks Hocky, I'll mention that too my buddy. "hit him with some knowledge" lol.

wow this thing still isn't over after almost 2 months they have called and told me they would fix the car then a week later they said they were not going to fix the car until another guy went and looked at it finally they called me back again and this time i recorded the conversation of them telling me they would fix everything. The are fixing everything they are not replacing the engine wich i am not worried about if you saw the damage you can tell that the the internals were not harmed luckily the manifold was stock thats the only reason it didn't screw the motor up cause the manifold was the weaker part so it exploded first i should have my car back in two weeks. But i am planning on selling it. And getting an 06 scion tc. I will miss my focus a lot though. Hopefully i am still welcome you guys have been a great help in ansering all my questions and everything so thanks.

You're probably going to find a lot more engine problems than you expect. Manifolds, sensors, wiring, possibly valves and bottom end.

Yea, I'm sure something not-good went through the intake...maybe shards or small pieces of metal.

I feel for the person buying your car, lol.

Can't wait to look up the "Vehicle History Reports"

well my insurance agent just called me. And told me there was a couple of valves bent and a couploe holes somewhere so they are replacing the motor with a new used motor only has a 1000 miles on it so that is damn good. my car has nine thousand right now so i am pretty excited to have a motor with only a thousand. They might give me a warranty on it as well. SO that is a good thing. lol i want tolook up the vehicle history report just to see what it says.

Thats good news

I still don't understand how you are getting the insurance company to do this. Either they don't know jack about nitrous backfires.... or you have one kewl adjuster.
