Ok, another question for people with EuroTails. Did they have problems with the signals flashing fast? I did'nt have this problem before. The only thing I could come up with, was either the new singal bulb is not big enough, the car is thinking there is a blown bulb, similar to the LED bulbs. Or, when I cut the rear singal/brake light, it now thinks the bulb is burnt out.
To make my Hella tails work properly I wired the top brake lights off the center brake light wire. They do not act as turn indicators. The center light is wired off the park lamps, and for the bottom light I ran a wire from the front indicators, they only work as indicators, not stop lights.
After that I was found my signals were doing the speed flash crap, so I wired in two bulbs off the brake/turn wire and just sealed them in plastic containers inside the hatch paneling. You can't see them, everything works and if they burn out in there I can replace them. There's probably another way to do it but this way worked and was free.
This is the hazards flashing, park lights on, and just a reflection of the flash on the brake lights
This was with the brakes, hazards and headlights on as well as the rear foglight which I had temporarily wired to come on with the foglights, which was a stupid idea...
marker lights and signals on
Oh yeah, the center brake light wasn't working in these shots, I didn't even notice it until about a month later, I just didn't reconnect the wire... oops...
I got pulled over because these lights are "not visible enough" These shots were taken in a very well lit shop, at night they may as well be little red headlights. I took the car in for inspection and the car is now road legal with these lights. Luckily for me SGI sucks so they didn't realize I only have one reverse light, but I don't care, I have the papers if I ever get pulled over.
