How long to be passed by a GT-1 car?

Perhaps you should try using the gas pedal?

LOL...Dave, you really still should try and come here to RA and see what it's like getting passed, say between turn 11 and 12--or even 3 and 5 for that matter. I'd even come and watch myself...and as such would offer up a push if indeed you did come to a stop.

Butch is a good buddy. We've raced for years together.
Couple of years ago we were in the same position. Coming out of 5 I saw Butch and another GT-1 car behind. I pointed them by, but he wouldn't pass. About 100 feet past where he passed here, he finally dove inside. Idea was to peel the other car off behind me. Problem was, he (other car) wasn't in on it and tried to late brake to get inside. I had to brake really hard to keep from turning in on him. He tracked out and dropped 2 wheels off all the way to 7. He couldn't turn in for 7 and ended up spinning driver's left. Some fun, you bet!
Oh, I did manage to catch the other 2 cars they passed (white and red) in this video before the end of the next straight, so I didn't feel quite so bad. ;^) And Erik, I did get around them. LOL
Nashville Speedway Labor Day weekend. Get to do it all over again.

I don't think you had to slow down THAT much to let them past!

Those things are crazy fast.

Um, if you notice. I braked early and was back on the gas when I saw Butch over there.
GT-1, GTA, SPO are much bigger than me. I give them plenty of room. =:^0
Plus when you look in the mirror, you see the 1st couple. Don't want to turn in on the 3rd one... if there is one.
Butch says straight up on the tach is 160 before the braking zone at 10A. We're good for about 130 at RdAtl.

Maybe you should upgrade from the flinstone drivetrain to an actual engine and transmission :lol:

AND AND ANOTHER THING! Notice they were only 30-40 feet behind be coming out of 5 (0:21), so I DID kinda hold them off... for a few seconds..... that should count for something. Shouldn't it???? ;^)
Plus you saw how they don't play real nice with each other at the top of the hill.

2 questions for Rheacer:

1. Have you ever seen a dark blue with silver stripes, WS6 TA on RA wiht Nuerburgring stickers on it? It is a friend of mine I used to race with here in Germany.

2. How far is RA from Windsor GA? My dad just moved there and I might take a few hours to get some track time there.

Incredibly close actually.

RA isn't in Braselton but that is the closest big town. On that map just keep going straight on 53 for 10 minutes or so and it'll be on your left.

1) No, Not that I have noticed. Name?
2) Windsor to Winder to Flowery Branch off Hwy 53- 35-45 Minutes, depending on traffic. Also put you 5 1/2 hours from Virginia International and about 4 hours from Roebling Road in Savannah or Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw,SC.
Also about 4 1/2 hours from Nashville Speedway and about 3 1/2 hours from Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham.
