Here is the problem I went out to start the car and nothing just a clicking solenoid. I thought well maybe the battery went low it had happened a few weeks ago when I had it out when working on the car. I charged it up and problem solved. So I put the charger on it once again and nothing. The solenoid just clicks a little but nothing else. Also I did noticed a clicking coming from the relays in the fuse box. I thought that was strange I had never heard this before. So I turned off the battery charger and they stopped. I turned it back on and they started to click again. It wasn't just on relay from what I could tell it was multiple relays if not all of them.

Could this be caused by a battery that has had it or is it a problem with the relays or some other related electrical problem? I thought maybe a bad starter but would that make the relays click as they are doing?

Yep the negative battery post was going bad causing the electrical system not to ground properly. I have had batteries go bad before but not exhibiting the behavior that this car was doing with the flashing/flickering dashboard & interior lights, humming sound system speakers, not to mention all the relays that were clicking.

I think that's what threw me was the odd behavior. I have owned foreign and domestic cars but this has to be a first for the oddest symptoms relating to a bad battery.
