I have an 05 SE ZX3. I would like for the radio to stay on for a few minutes after I turn off the ignition, also be able to roll up the windows. Is this an option on the SES or later year models? Does anyone have schematics to do it? Has it been done?

I don't think that's possible.

No not an option on the 06 SES. I think it's possible, but I don't know how to do it. My familys Ford Windstar has it, and my wifes pontiac grand prix has it too. It comes in handy I've wanted to do it ever since I got my Focus, but I have no idea how to go about it. I think it has to do with the door switch.

you mean if you hit your radio button when the car is off, it doesn't turn on?

stock radio or aftermarket setup?
you could wire with fuses/relays off teh 12+ constant on off teh radio harness to your windows and directly to the radio instead of the 12+ switched..

but i'd be wary of power drain from the motors of the windows and if you accidently left the radio on.

factory radio should have a 1 hour mode for when teh car isn't running

I believe the OP is referring to something along the lines of what GM products do where the radio stays on until you open the door. I know my boy's '89 Caddy convertible even does that so it's been around for awhile. Unfortunately though that was never an option on the Focus because Ford hardly does that with vehicles and I have no idea how you'd go about adding it :dunno:

And by the way Jon, "teh" != "the" ;)

Yes, I am talking about having the power to the radio and windows stay on for a while or until I open the doors. The only Ford I have owned is an 82 Mercury Capri. I thought all newer cars had that feature.

^^^ yeah that is the one..
you can search around the net and you will find wiring easy
