Re: speaking of big bear..

I'm Chris, she's Kris... C'mon now.

Speaking of Big Bear, you should buy a piece of income property there and see if you can swing the mortgage with leaving one unit empty for you so's you can stay up there for free.

:D

You like to ski? Downhill mountain bike? Like to fish from a tiny little boat (you can only water ski in Arrowhead Lake)? It's all there, waiting just for you, sir.

Re: speaking of big bear..

ehh, I was looking at 6 one acre plots. I wanted to put a few of these on the property.

If not the 6 acre plot, I found a nice 1/2 acre that I can put a nice little units on. One of me, one for them.... It just depends on what the designer puts on.

Re: speaking of big bear..

Yep as for the snow load, I've talked to the guys and they can build with steel 2x6 and increase the snow load to 120 PSF. Plus they can use EPS foam in the walls to increase it even further. I'm not looking to spend more than 100kish or so.
Anyway thanks for the help guys.

Re: speaking of big bear..

Well good news and bad news. Land is STILL dirt cheap. BUT Rocio won't build the houses to the required snow load. But I found a place that will. It is called

Not as nice in my opinion, but they are willing to at least build what you would like.
good luck

Re: speaking of big bear..

Hive modular or Rocio Romaro? I'm also looking at a third builder... We'll see if we can do something like a Santa Fe style home.... We'll see.
