Skunk2 is for real.. the EVO was beautifully prepared when I saw it at the shoot for the final episode.

They're building an EVO to go after our Unlimited Class in our Time Attack Series next year. Dave Hsu is the President of the company and I have no doubt they're going to put together a seriously wicked car!

that may be, but they arent really showing their skills on street tuner challenge, they are showing how much money they have to order in parts and people to work on their car..

I dunno about that... they're showing more of their marketing and partnership ability by bringing in partners to get the free promotion in exchange for some free/much cheaper than normal parts.

I get that part of the show.... But it REALLY stands out as to what kind of a shop FocusSport is when every week it shows Vik busting his ass to get things RIGHT on the car... and the detail that he puts in to every little thing.

BTW... FocusSport added a cat to make the car "street legal" which per the "rules" is required.... but I wonder how exactly the mini is "street legal" with a lightbar and being marked "Police" on the rear bumper. I don't know of a state in the union where that is legal.

So far, it looks like its FS vs Skunk2. Fireballed has churned out some sweet cars in the past....(I've seen em on the track, and on the street here in SoCal) but I honestly think they're nowhere close on this build (so far).

Plus the MOMO steering wheel on the Mini is lacking an airbag.......which I do believe makes the car not "street legal"

I think all the teams are pretty equal.

Theres just more stuff for the evo. If the Focus had that kind of resource market, I'm sure FS would use some other stuff as opposed to making everything. Granted, they are busting there asses, but I don't think just because they don't have as much of a parts pile to pull from means the other companies are any less good. Skunk2 and Fireballed make some pretty serious stuff that can't be dogged down just because they can buy it/get it for free rather than make it themselves.

I know it's street tuner challenge, but really, do you think these things were made for the street?

Also, upon recieving FS parts and such, I vaguely remember seeing "for offroad use only" in many boxes.

I have to agree with those that say FocusSport is by far the most professional and impressive of the three teams. Maybe I'm biased, but the difference seems obvious to me. When I watch that show, what goes through my mind is, "FocusSport is where I'd want to take my car to. The other two shops would make me nervous."
QFT. I would definitely take my car to these guys. I've seen their work, heard all kinds of great things about them. I would be kind of leery to take my baby to a shop where fools are welding **** in taco outfits, or darn near cutting their digits off on camera.

I did notice that they edited out Dr Charles stunt. It kind of disappointed me, because I could mimic his gestures exactly. This week my dad was watching the show with me, and he looked at me funny when I did it. Then I had to explain

Randy...would you rather drive the 08 or the 2.3 swap car??? :D

i havent watched in a couple weeks cuz ive been working till midnight. i came home to late to catch the new episode today. im watching last weeks. omg these fireball people look like bigger clowns as this goes on.

focus sport is killing it tho. so far everything is done very well.
