No clip here, but it sounds good.

Deep, mellifluous, but not too loud. You can actually have a quiet conversation inside the car at speed, but when the wheel alignment tech took off in it to go around the block, I was impressed with it's tone. I thought, "sweet!".

The FocusSport Stealth exhaust is a great value. It is also an excellent fit under the car and easy to install. It has needed no maintenance in over three years... I got the aluminized version instead of the ceramic-coated as I live in SoCal.

Seconded. I have the ceramic-coated FS stealth. Very quiet inside the car, great tone outside and you still get the occasional pop (but nothing near as loud as the borlas or others). When you're outside, it sounds GREAT. Very tasteful.

No clip here either.

I haven't heard the FS stealth exhaust in person. It doesn't sound bad from what I understand, or have heard either. It would be a very good choice if you were wanting to stay quieter, and still have some performance.

Sounds killer... With a Cosworth header and flex I can assure you it is in no way "Stealth." Although it is alot quieter than others. Now that I have a FS Turbo on the car it sounds really sweet. I just wish they had made them in a 2.5" or 3" when I got mine. (still not in production yet, but coming soon)

FS is going to be producing a 2.5" exhaust?

Randy, I've seen that you've put a custom 2.5" on the '08, and that's awesome. I'm glad that you're going to be offering a 2.5" for all of us at the same time too.

I thought about asking, but then I figured there was probably a reason you don't offer it yet. You know?

Do you know what pricing is going to run around ballpark? Are you going to have an optional cat/test pipe delete? Could you please send me more info when available?

The Stealth exhaust on the Duratec is a flex-back system; you have to have the Duratec's second, after-flex cat put back into the system to remain compliant. As you know, all Duratecs except for the ST have an exhaust manifold/catalyst.

The Focus ST has no second cat, I believe, though I could be mistaken.

Could you please send me more info when available?
With all due respect to a most helpful new forum member, that's a bit much to ask of a very busy FocusSport staff... the news will become available here in this Duratec Tuning forum and in the FocusSport Sponsor forum when the time comes. According to Randy's last post, that'd be sometime in April with a probable May release.

Of course, I am not employed by FocusSport; I am speaking strictly from my experience with the company in an effort to provide the information you seek.

:)~

Z63, thank you kind sir for your words of wisdom. I really appreciate you trying to help me out by giving me info, but at the same time, giving Randy time to continue working on the Focus for STC.

As far as the cat/test pipe delete, MBRP offers a cat/test pipe delete for there 2.5" cat-back. It's a bolt-on/removable pipe that is made for track intentions only, but can be swapped in, and out very quickly.

^ ^ ^ I had assumed that you might have been thinking also of a Zetec-style exhaust system... since few if any ever mention an orp in Duratec Tuning when discussing exhaust systems; orps seem to be mainly a Zetec thing around here.

Dracconix

You are mistaken... :p

ST has 2 cats... one in the header... one in first exhaust section.
Ah, but you see I wasn't certain. How rare.

:p

So the ST differs simply in it's exhaust manifold... and of course after the second cat 'cause there's no lunchbox res0n4t0r.

Men, I thank you. You have been gentle.

I understand what you're saying there. I didn't know that MBRP offered the optional pipe either until emailing Lorraine at MBRP, and talking to MBRP Tech2 on here. It's like an $80 option to add onto the $340 2.5" exhaust kit. The $340 is shipped to your door as well.
