lol. jackass.

OK, how's your CRUISE CONTROL working? with a 60 mile commute one way, i've definitely been thinking about it.

Sorry, I'll have a video review up shortly. I'm just stuck at home, but I got my camera and everything rigged up to the helmet. :) Waiting for the guys to deliver furniture before I can go ride.

Oh and btw, lame or not lame:

Thinking of having a vinyl guy make one using 3M reflective tape.

Quick photoshop from Warthog which is inspiration:

OK, well I'll post a picture when I get it done. Will do the measurements, and send it off tomorrow. :)

I did make a little video riding back from work, and its super lame and awkward, but its my first time... so be gentle. <3 *bats eyes*

PS: Oh, and the original footage is much better, the dvix conversion made it all pixilated and blurry, ugh. Too lazy to rerender though. :p

ITS TOO BIG!

*coughthatswhatshesaidcough*

Seriously, the camera will even do 720P 16x9 widescreen, but it only fits vertical by the mouthpiece, so 4x3 vertical and cropped to square 3x3 is the best I can do for blogs. For just raw footage, I can strap it to the forehead of my helmet for awesomeness... but you won't be able to masturbate to the sound of my voice unless I rig up some mic or something inside the helmet. :)

I was actually surprised by the audio quality. I guess I'm used to the open window auto-x and track videos with the lens cap clinking as it bounces around. ;) That being said please do work on that video compression, I was expecting cheesy Windows Movie Maker blue title screens to make an appearance because of its quality. :D

Overall it was a good video for a first attempt and I've added your RSS feed.

Best commentary ever. Totally represents your online presence which means you are indeed real, and not fake like Chalz. I am also surprised at the audio quality.

Interesting notes:

You failed to stop at the stop in your lot while leaving. You are a rebel. :p

Your commentary regarding the waves between bike groups is interesting. Around here, across 5 lanes of traffic in an opposite direction, sport tourers will always wave. Sport bikers often wave. I wave to scooters who are always shocked that someone is acknowledging their existence. But when I rented the Harley, I was waving to everyone like always, and only got wave backs from other cruiser riders. So I guess that's a two way street. Sport bikers don't expect cruisers to wave, and when they do they want to retaliate by not waving to snub all the other cruisers who dismissed the initiated wave.

Commentary is completely random. I love it. I also love the hand gestures that you make while talking on a motorcycle to an imaginary audience.

"Multi-million dollar homes in California buys you what....a kitchen and a bathroom?"

"It's gonna be like your first time where she's like, "But I poop from there," and you just gotta pretend like you know what you're doing."

The glare on the bottom edge of your windscreen is totally distracting. Was it like that with the stock screen?

Price is Right soundtrack?

"I believe that Asians are the master race." Does that include Indians?

"If you're an Asian chick and horny and want to love me long time, definitely interested. I've got some German sausage for you."

Totally awesome. I didn't get any notice of side shooting. Looks like what I would do when riding the bike. Your commute looks dull as hell, though. I want to get one of those setups and all us riders can compare commutes. Totally awesome dude. Even though you are farkle obsessed and strangely over obsessed about your anal beads. :what:

BTW, I am almost positive that you said something about the mic and camera mount somewhere but can't find it. Can you reiterate since I am really digging the commute blog? What is it, where did you buy it, how much did it cost, etc. Thanks. :)

Edit: Crap! I just now noticed AFTERWARDS that I've had the camera set to QVGA mode, not VGA.... QVGA is 1/4 the size, not a Q for Quality! xD

I have been recording at 320x240 pixels instead of 1280x720 according to the manual.

Neways, better audio at least:

Oh, and we should so all get a biker-blog-gang going. It'll be like a real biker-gang, except we can just bully pre-teens on myspace instead. Oh, and regarding my camera setup, I'll just make a video later today, but in retrospect, I'd recommend one of those thin cameras that DOES NOT have a lens that pops out when you turn it on. :)

Nice videos Ducman!

Questions please:

1) Why is there no traffic? Not one car appears - spooky.

2) Is that a Tom Tom Sat Nav for motorbikes? (Tom Tom Rider)?

3) How did you record the audio, a cell-phone set up maybe, or a is it Blu Tooth into your Ipod or something?

Very entertaining, either way. You have a wacky sense of humour and seem preoccupied with sexual jokes, so we must be related.

Thank you, my first view of America and it's funny the way you keep saying 'dude', despite being alone.

Thanks!

OK, last bump w/ vid update, will put future ones in the official video thread sticky, and encourage you moto-suckas to do so as well! :D

This vid I figured out how to set it to HD, and cropped it to 720x720 (still compressed to 50mb though for easy sharing), and it shows my helmet-cam setup. :)
