Re: hardcore euro wheels?

Thats really gonna stop on some people's toes.
Yeah, with those brakes, wheels and tires, the thing stops on a dime, too!

Wtf are you trying to say? Work wheels? or the pic? are going to step on some people's toes? Am I missing something? Do we have an exclusive "hardcore-euro-only-manufactured" wheel sponsor that I'm unaware of? So they're Japanese... who cares. The look is there. Tuners in Asia are all over the "euro stretch" look.

;)

Maybe the thread should be retitled, "hard core euro-style wheels" 'cause I don't see much of a difference if someone pulls off the stretched fitment on a neat, wide-wheel, wide-barrel "look" to the general satisfaction of the group here.

Or are you really that much of a pretentious wheel snob?

:D

I'd rather think different of you than that.

;)

Re: hardcore euro wheels?

LOL...I think either I stated it wrong, or you misunderstood...

I love the Miester wheels. I've posted before they are great wheels and look great. But the thread is 'euro'. Work and Equip is not a euro brand. So I'm getting at, some people may not think Work as a euro brand. However, most people with euro cars, or doing a euro style setup whether with a VW Bimmer or Audi, sometimes use Japanese wheel makers. Someone may argue its not a euro wheel. By definition of the thread, its not. But it does pull off the look and of the 'Euro Stance'.

Take with it whatever, it may come out wrong, im at work with a huge migraine...lol this might not even come out making sense.

Re: hardcore euro wheels?

No worries...

:)

Hope you feel better soon.

Re: hardcore euro wheels?

where the wheels come from doesn't matter, lots of "european" wheels are made in the Phillipeans. some BBS wheels are made in Japan...

there is a difference between the Euro and Japanese stretched look. Japanes cars tend to have a LOT more camber than Euro cars. not to say some euro cars don't but using VW's as a Benchmark, there is next to ZERO camber adjustment in the rears and what cars you do see have modified the mount of the rear stub-axles to give some camber. on real IRS cars it's much easier to play the camber game...

the look of the wheels them selfs is a major difference too. Japanese "VIP" styled cars tend to run some pretty gaudy (IMHO) wheels.

where the wheels are made don't have so much to do with it being a Euro look. they style of the wheel does.
i'd say wheels like the Work Miesters are a very European styled wheel.... but not all works are...

hell lots of VW guys love the Sportmax wheels as they are cheap VW offset freindly and offer some nice widths. i think they look like crap but to each their own.
