Nominations for January FOTM: New Beginnings!

So your Focus is gone. It was wrecked and totalled, or you sold it. So what now? It's all about:

New Beginnings

An appropriate category for the new year and also for following up last month's "Gone But Not Forgotten" category. To be eligible for this month's FOTM, you must have owned a Focus that was replaced with ANOTHER Focus. This newest Focus must be the one you currently own and is the one that is eligible for nominations.

Each person can nominate the 5 cars they would like to see in the final voting. If you are going to nominate cars, please do it like this:

I Nominate: 02AllBlackSVT, Z63R, Omnifocus, Chalz, and tparker

Please use the words "I Nominate" and list the cars. Making it in bold will make it easier for me to find all the nominations in the thread. Feel free to post images of the cars you are nominating as this will help your favorite cars chance at getting into the final 5 for voting.

Each month there will be a competition for the Focaljet, Focus of the Month. Here are the guidelines:

Must be a current active member of FJ to be considered. (Posted within the last 30 days)

Car owner or any other member may nominate the car.

Cars to be considered for FOTM must be officially Nominated in the Nominations thread.

Each month will have a theme. Please nominate a car that fits into that theme.

Pictures of the car should be put in the thread.

Entries will not roll over to the following month.

The 5 cars with the most nominations will go into a poll for the members to determine the winner of each month's FOTM.

FOTM will get a sticky thread for the next month all about the car and the owner AND the car featured on the main page of Focaljet.

Winners of FOTM can not be considered for future FOTM with the same car.

Due to the late start for this month's FOTM due to the holiday, nominations will end on January 6th with voting starting shortly after that.

I wasn't on here back then, but I'm currently driving Focus #2 after being rear-ended on a back road by a pickup truck and running head-first into an embankment at 60MPH in my first '00 ZX3 (bare bones MTX Sangria Red). I just didn't feel safe or comfortable in anything but another Focus after that and now after 5 years I'm still madly in love with my car each and every day

I won't stand a snowball's chance in Hell at this, but I'm gonna nominate myself and Rattletrap. I have big plans for her in the spring (some of them are already here, just not installed yet due to bad weather) and can post some pretty recent pictures soon if there's an interest :thumbup:

Bone Stock Liquid Grey 2.3L ZX3.

It was hit 11 days after owning it by a teenager, ala hit and run. Then I had it in the shop for 2 weeks getting fixed (no pictures of it) then a few months later, it was totaled (my fault). I will have to find those pictures.

My current focus which is wearing the Magnaflow cat back from Focus #1 which was removed from the car in a mcdonalds parking lot on the back of the tow truck.

Sadly I don't have any pre-wreck pictures of my first ZX3, but it wasn't too modded. It had generic Sparco hood pins, altezza tails, red underbody kit, red neons all over the interior, Sony head unit with 2 12" Sony Xplods in a custom box in the hatch, a Focus Central short shifter, Magnaflow exhaust, and painted interior bits. It was obviously back when I was still a ricer :lol:

You can see in this picture just how badly the roof got bent/buckled in the hit. When the airbag went off, my left arm got pulled backwards out of its socket and ended up going through the side window upside down and backwards, as seen in that picture. My hand was broken in a total of 17 places, most of which were little bones in my hand. I also fractured my elbow and collarbone, dislocated my shoulder, lost two knuckles on my hand, and to this day have some nasty scars on my fingers and hand from it

The Focus definitely saved my life though, so I had to buy another

PowerWorks Supercharger (@10PSI, have crank pulley for boost upgrade)
FC billet silver shorty antenna
FC billet Trunk key bezel
FC billet HVAC knobs
Edge Rear wiper

Euro Grille (purchased)
Boost upgrade/Dyno remap for more power =]
