Morgantown, PA - April 11, 2009


From the Official TriStateTuners Organizer email:

That's right folks! Its time to announce this years Sonic meet. This has been going strong for 2 years and has generated endless hype and fun. We want to continue that success into this year's event! We are expecting well over 500 people to show up from over 50 different forums and clubs to caravan from all over the northeast and decend onto Sonic on April 11th, 2009! In the past, people have caravaned from Chester county, bucks county, montgomery county, Philly, New Jersey, Lancaster county, Reading area, York area and some have even come from farther away than that!
Whats new this year? We have relocated to the Morgantown, PA Sonic Drive-in. After overrunning Ephrata 2 years in a row it was clear that space had become an issue. Morgantown has a lot more of that to offer and should result in much better parking situation. Sonic and the local authorities have been made aware of this so please be on your best behavior and such. We want to continue to represent ourselves well and keep this event going!

Alright for those of you who went last year, you know how awesome it was. From GTO Burnouts, to Jailbait Waitresses, to closing down a town just because 300+ Car Guys want a Sonic Burger, to just being there. This year TriStateTuners has decided to move the meet to Morgantown, PA, just a small drive up the road due to the size projected for this year. This year TriStateTuners is expected well over 500 CARS!!!. For those of you who missed it last year this is not a meet to miss. I plan to be there tow rope in hand just incase I decide to take a dip in the Susquehanna. This meet brings in all types of car enthusiasts, from your typical ricers, to street rods, to exotics, and to your everyday tuner so don't worry you'll fit into the madness. Last year the Focuses held down the center shot for almost every picture as all 13 or so of us squeezed into the small area right in front.

Was this the same EPIC meet as last year that spilled over to the SECOND Sonic? The one that had all the Scooby's running around with no front bumpers? lol

That's the one. Last year's was held in March, so hopefully it'll be nice and warm this year. Although if it rains and it's held on Sunday, that's Easter. :thumbdown:

You should, it's an awesome meet. I'm gonna organize a MD Focus Caravan when the event gets a bit closer.

ugh god, those cars are horrid, you shouldn't taint the car show with its presence. you should just give it to me instead....... :D just playing man, god i love that thing. i do wish i had got to see some of the old stuff from my 1st focus on yours though

They were for a good long time, even made it into the build of my "award winning" documentary so did your interview btw :) An eternal thx again for both! I'll try and find some shots.

As for the C30 it's a great car, happy I was one of the first, though I still hardly see any. If I could only get the stance a **** load lower (is dropping frame to much to ask) and back to stockish when I want...... And get some of those pesky noise gremlins to get solved. Would be perfect!
