Well, I would first like to thanks Shawn (Spatakula) and PlayaName (sorry I missed your name) for all the help they lent in attempting to get my coilovers installed. I feel bad that it was all in vain due to me being sent the wrong ones. It appears they are for a Focus wagon :( :( :( At least me and shawn were able to clear out my "fish bowl" :lol: (that was after ya left PlayaName). It will have to wait till another Saturday....SOON!! Here are a few pics

I'm sure we could have made it fit if we tried hard enough.. although the car may have looked a little worse for wear when we finished, what with the holes we'd make and all haha. That was fun though, see you guys for the next go round!

Hell no! I'm contemplating getting Mike's (Focusdsound) old hood to eliminate that from the equation. Not sure how my factory hood could have gotten bent just standing up in sorage though. My other thought is a new hood latch since I cut the pin down some on mine. Probably a cheaper part to throw at it, but from what I have heard it's a pain to mess with. The Kaminari hood fit better then my factory hood does now! :(

Oh it was tempting! You don't know how long I have anxiously awaited this day. Don't worry man I left your handy work in the hatch removed to make it quicker for next time. Thanks again for driving to get the spring compressor after Shawn finally gave in and agreed we NEEDED one...haha.

Hey Shawn, since I am off the day before the 16th I will have a chance to get a decent amount of sleep this time so you want to start on it earlier? I think since we have a great idea about what needs to be done, the right tool for the job, and the car is more preped for the work we could knock it out in 4 hours. Maybe afterwards we could hit up the car show in Burlington. So ya want to plan on 7:00 AM....again let me know if that's too early for ya. Be great to be completely finished by 12.

Spoke with Vivid Racing and they had to call someone who said that the fronts would work, but they weren't sure about the rear :rolleyes: So they are going to call me back and see if they can get me the right parts. So looks like we might have been able to throw the fronts on after all since they don't seem to want the whole kit back. Oh well, better safe then sorry. Hey Shawn, you ever figure out why the top hats on the front struts wouldn't come off? Just wondering because that seemed to be the only thing holding up the front install. I'd like to have everything worked out so we can knock it out next time.

I'll keep ya updated!

Yeah I know why they didn't come off, we realized that the backs were not the correct parts and we put everything back together. :p

Smart a**! Hmmm your worrying me now because they didn't seem to want to budge. I'll do some research and see what I can dig up. On a brighter note I should have this on by then:

Well that's good to hear! Hopefully I will hear back from Vivid Racing soon. Going to call them tomorrow if I don't hear from them today. 25 more days till ROUND 2! :D

I'm guessing that means you are shooting for May 16th? Keep in mind that there might be a meet at Tom's place in Charlotte... either that day or the 23rd. You won't want to miss that, meets at his place are always worth the drive.

we're meeting at toms place on the 16th! we can hook up and get this done the saturday before if that will work for you. or heck we can do it later in the day on the 16th.
