I did it. Swapping them out wouldn't have taken long at all had I not broke my dipstick handle off. Lesson: Remove oil dipstick when installing throttle body.

It isn't difficult. Just a handful of bolts, really.

This.

Also, it made a significant difference in throttle response and probably a few hp. I painfully remember the throttle lag the car used to have, that was completely eliminated with the new throttle body.

One thing to remember is that you need a Mustang TPS...the Focus sensor rotates the opposite direction.

focus rotates in opposite direction does that mean you have to rewire it?

Most of the time the better_feel_in_response is beacuse with the larger TB your flowing 100% of the air it can use with only 75% throttle. That does'nt really mean 25% more flow, just mean's that last 25% of throttle does'nt do any thing. So pushing the pedal down 3/4 is really full throttle.

QFT!

It does make the car feel snappier, but adding power it does not. Still a worthwhile mod.

No...we are talking about adding a mustang tb to a craftsman lawnmower.

wrd.

you could be talking bout the spi sohc, or the 2.3 duratec or even 2.0 duratec

Hi there. Totally new to site and am stoked to see people still working on the Mustang tb for the spi.
This is the question that is killing me: Where does one find this mysterious adapter for this swap?
Any info greatly appreciated.
Doug
Adapter?

You mean the 'Stang TPS?
