Fill up the fluid then pump the brakes hard about ten times......then pump the clutch about 20 or 30 times. Then get under the car and look for leaks. It could just be that your brake pads have worn down enough to lower the brake fluid reservoir to the point that the light turns on. It could also just be that you have a leak.

Probably has the master cylinder leak like all the other SVTs :p

Get under the dash and check on your pedals for brake fluid. Its pretty common to have the master cylinder start leaking.

If your brake pads aren't wearing down significantly and the fluid level keeps dropping that would be the most likely source as the clutch and braking system both use the same reservoir and it pretty common on the Focus. It's still a good idea to check out the rest of the braking system just to be safe though.

Yes, clutch master cylinder. I just had the pleasure of doing mine last weekend.

How was the procedure??

my lights goes off/on a lot too, I know it's the clutch master cylinder b/c of the fluid on the pedal. For some reason it goes off/on more when it's raining outside.:dunno:

It takes some time and patience, but it's not hard. It helps if you have a friend to maintain your sanity.
