Hey, got a '05 2.0 Duratec and I would like to get around 144whp to 155whp. What would be the needed mods to get this? I know Focussport turbo would be nice but I don't have that kind of dough. This is my DD and my wife drives it too. She's terrified of too much horsepower(wrecked a '95 DSM - 380whp: R.I.P Whopper). Can you guys help me out thanx.

For a daily driver, I'd go with:

1) FSWerks exhaust (stealth or not, your choice)
2) FSWerks tune
3) FSWerks Cool-Flo intake

...you can go crazier, but how streetable do you want the car? A header does a LOT for these cars, but it is very difficult to get the sound back down to a reasonable level once you do.

I'd guess those three would get you close enough to 144whp.

Do what Omni said, it makes for a very entertaining car.

It should net around 136/139whp and tq.

Now, if you were to add a header, you would hit your goal, but the car would be a decent bit louder on a daily basis. If you don't mind that, done.

That's sweet to know Omni. Also, I had no clue that a 2.3L head would fit on a 2.0L. Another thing adding that head wouldn't I have to increase the fuel? Can't wait to start getting my money right. I guess Top Ramen for everyone. LOL

If you do a head you'll have to do a custom tune to match. But all the supporting stuff like injectors and fuel lines and such should be the same as its not going to be that dramatic of a fuel increase.

Man, you guys reply fast. I just had a reply went to 7-eleven and there's already a conversation. LOl Okay, air intake, exhaust, tune, and/or header. Then I can have a little fun on the way to work. Sweet. My heel-and-toe is coming along nicely. What kind of tune do I need and where to get one?

That basic combo (except an MBRP exhaust) is good for 149whp/149wtq on my 2.3 so I'd figure the high 130's would be about right on a 2.0
