i have a 2007 ford focus and im trying to fix it up and hopefully join a car club and the whole 9 yards. im new to all of this and just need help tuning on the right equipment and etc. thanks

Welcome to Jax. I'm in VP-26 right now doing a beach det out of VP-5 spaces in hangar 511 in support of the bull**** going on in Haiti. 26 is going to be moving into segment 1 of hangar 1000 once we get back from deployment. Occasionally you may see my black 5 door SVT parked in the VP-26 XO parking spot at hangar 1000 as I'm the det AOIC. Feel free to swing up to the VP Det office and say hi if you see my car.

BBS are really expensive. I was looking at some for Mustangs and they where around $800+ for 18" on tire rack

Duncan, you guys have any billets open for ET's over there? I was attached to a P-3 squadron for my first command so working with you guys isn't that new to me. My PRD is in April 11 and I will be picking orders here in a few months. I'm up for shore duty and I am thinking about staying in Florida.

I hate to say it but Florida is growing on me. I might just stay here since I'm used to it and I really don't want to have to move next year. I'll just have to wait and see what comes up on the list though. :dunno:

I'm on sea duty now bro. My former squadron, VP-30 is shore duty though. The closest thing I've seen to a surface billet in the entire 1200 person command though was a DC1......to run 1st Lt. I haven't seen any technical surface billets at all. You may be able to find something over at the CNATTU school house.....but even then it's all aviation ratings.
There are shore duty billets on base here but nothing career enhancing....it's all dirt bag stuff like auto hobby shop, recycling center, base gym ect. Basically the places they stick some piece of isht Sailor who doesn't care and doesn't try.

That's weird. I was with CTF-57 and ET's did all the comms and IT stuff. I'll just wait and see what pops up. I was thinking SERMC as another choice. Thanks for the info Duncan.
