I bent my wheel on a curb thanks to the 6"+ of snow on the ground covering the curb--yes that's right 6"+ of snow...in...north Texas. What does one of these wheels run used? I'm rather irritated on this happening since I was barely even going 5mph.

For the price of getting one used you'd be better off buying one from Steve at Tousley that you know won't be bent. I've replaced a couple of mine this way and I'll be looking to replace the other two soon.

If memory serves 130 including shipping which is great considering people want 100 or more for a used wheel.

Also if you decide not to go this route there are several shops across the country that fix bent wheels, just do a google search.

Thanks for the advice. And, what would a shop charge to fix a bent wheel?

Between $100-200 depending on the level of damage.

So it would just be better $$ to just buy a new or good condition pre-owned one?

Yep, just call Steve @ Tousley - he'll hook you up.

Steve has good prices and I've also bought the EAP wheels at Tire Rack (who still sells them but isn't carrying the other Ford Racing factory SVT wheels any more). Even if you could get it repaired for a lot less, the stock wheels are cast and bend pretty easy. I wouldn't trust the strength to be similar after a repair, especially if it bent on the inside (weaker) unsupported lip/edge. And with the price to repair normally fairly close to replacement cost for a new one that's probably the best way to go.

Yea looks like buying a new one is the best option.

Might also be good to plan on an alignment if you haven't done so already. Even a small bump, especially if it slid to the side vice head-on, can easily throw it out of spec and it wouldn't be good to burn throgh at set of tires because of it.

They all seem to bend on the unsupported inside edge, not just the five spoke design. I swear my stock EAPs bend just by looking at them wrong.

Absolutely right!

Mine the lip bent, and bent like it was paper. The car still runs and drives fine and there isn't an alignment issue either. Which tells me these wheels are some really thin cast aluminum.
