I got the fans shroud out to have a look at the primary fan resistor (Steve from Tousley suggested that might be the culprit) when in fact it was Liquid_02_zx3 that nailed it: an overheated resistor wiring pigtail... car works fine, but I have to replace that portion of the harness, the pigtail.
Meanwhile, some do0fus in a Tech thread who's hard to understand is backpedaling then acting like a douche.

Hola Norcal. I hope everyone's holiday was great...both of them... I took Cait to Ruth's Chris steakhouse for dinner last night. AMAZING!! i had the Filet..you can chew it with your tongue its so tender...i ordered a $15 dollar Makers Mark...so worth it
Oh and i started a home micro brew of Heffa tonight...it makes 8 bottles. I'm keeping 3 and have 3 ordered... that leaves 2... first two to PM me get them....their liter bottles...which i'll need back after consumption.
