Good morning NorCal. Happy Friday!

I'm headed down to Denver tonight to check out a race car project for Robb Holland. I'm considering spending some time down there afterwards. Then, tomorrow I'll be snowboarding :D

Good Luck Tala!
Good Luck Tala!!!!!
Go Tala! Knock em dead! Literally if thats what it takes :D
Kick some ass and take some names, Tala
Tala, I say kick ass and chew gum! But... then again chewing gum at an interview would be rude. So... JUST KICK ASS!

Wow you guys! Thank you so much for the support. :D Interview yesterday went well, but it's not my ideal environment to work in. It's more of a corporate preschool...and I'd much prefer a small private preschool, even if there are multiple schools, over a National chain. The pay is less than I want, but I knew it would be. The interview this morning is for a private school that serves kids 6 weeks-8th grade. I would LOVE to work at this place. I hope it goes well! At the other place, I have a "working interview" next week...just keeping my options open.

Oh--and, good morning NorCal!! Hope everyone has an awesome Friday! Turns out Mike had the flu, but he is feeling better. Today is his last day home.

Aaron, he won't be able to make it over tonight...wanted me to let you know. :(

Yay Tala!!!

So I realized I screwed up my taxes. I get to do them over again :(

Mornin' all!

Well... good luck again, Tala!

That sucks Brad. What's sad is I use TurboTax every year, and if I'm screwing up... I have no friggen clue!

Sorry Brad. Maybe this time you'll find out you don't owe as much?
This is my motivation actually. Second time around it says I owe $450 less, but I still think it is wrong. It's only to my benefit, other than time and headache.

I pay to have my taxes done. It is way, WAY out of my comfort zone to handle anything beyond a 1040EZ

Happy Friday everyone.
It's just a standard 1040, and usually with free online tax prep, it is plug and chug. Unfortunately there were a couple of hangups:

I got a 1099-MISC for working with LCR. It makes it look like I have my own business.

And...I have a 1098-T from Colorado State showing graduate tuition reduction. I input the form exactly as shown, but it was added to my taxable income. "Tuition reductions for a graduate student who is performing teaching or research activities for the educational institution are generally not taxable."

Now I have a $842 refund

Wow... comedy goldmine.

Utterly priceless. Did you see the one I posted the other day? It gives you an idea of just how clueless a lot of people are. Too bad search engines weren't foreseen in the Orwell's "1984", "Sir, we've been tracking your Google searches, and we need to inform you that your right to breed has been revoked."
