A 65-year-old man walked into a crowded waiting room and approached the desk.
The Receptionist said, 'Yes sir, what are you seeing the Doctor for today?'
There's something wrong with my dick', he replied.
The receptionist became irritated and said, 'You shouldn't come into a
crowded waiting room and say things like that.
Why not, you asked me what was wrong and I told you,' he said.
The Receptionist replied; "Now you've caused some embarrassment in this room full of people. You should have said there is something wrong with your ear or something and discussed the problem further with the Doctor in private."
The man replied, 'You shouldn't ask people questions in a roomful of
strangers, if the answer could embarrass anyone. The man walked out, waited several minutes, and then re-entered.
The Receptionist smiled smugly and asked,'Yes??'
'There's something wrong with my ear,' he stated.
The Receptionist nodded approvingly and smiled, knowing he had taken her advice.. 'And what is wrong with your ear, Sir?'
'I can't piss out of it,' he replied.
The waiting room erupted in laughter...

Have always wondered about it. Used to give blood every so often so I suppose it's only natural to have someone suck the marrow from me bones! :arr:

Please register if you can. They'll send you a package and all you have to do for now is swab your mouth and send it back. Obviously, if you decide to become a donor be serious about giving if you end up being a match as it can save someone's life. We're organizing a marrow drive here at work as well.
A few well wishes would be kind of awesome. My family is having a little bit of a rough time as my dad was just diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. He's checking into Stanford Medical Center for a month long stay starting today. Every marrow donor is one more chance at a match though.
I am still in shock a week after finding out. I don't know what to do besides be there for him.

Just got home from the doctor's office...
had another round of blood taken, get to give them another stool sample.
Doc is concerned about my eos count and wants to see if it has gone up or down since the last go-round.
He threw that "leukemia" word in there today...

Yes, it's one of the 5 white blood cells is elevated in the tests I had done beginning of last week... the EOS count is about 4x what it is supposed to be.
Could be a couple of other things, but most of the things that point to them are not there.... which is why they are testing again.
Checking the EOS count again, and for some additional evidence of other possibilities.
On the one hand, I'm really happy with a doctor that is a straight shooter, but the other part of it is kinda f'd up... I won't know until the middle of next week.

Don't worry, Hale. Everything will be fine. I'm sure you're body is just Fed up at the moment and things will return to normal. I am not worried at all. The last thing you need is to stress yourself out about something like that. Its not a death sentence either; plenty of people have survived it. Just look at my mom! 8 surgeries over the course of my lifetime and still here.
You got lots of years left, old man, and I look forward to calling you that when you are truly and old man. :wub:
