I got 10 1/8 and 15 5/8
Thanks again! Off by 3/8"...
Then again, trying to hold the tape and take a pic at the same time might account for that...I'll recheck 'em.
That, or the RS is a little tighter in that dimension...

Those are my favorite hood vents! Its a lot of work to put them in though, can't wait to see it done!
WORK?? Did you happen to see what I'm doing lately!!!:D This car's not going to build itself(I wish)
^^ got a chuckle out of me there!

Have you decided where along the hood you'll mount them? Same place many of the RS owners have done their Sierra vents?

Yes, from what I've seen that looks like to be my location too, need to get underhood and see where braces come into play, once I start, I'll post pics

HEADS UP PEOPLE I threw away my seats from the donor car(red 02 zx3):bang: before I got my RS seats, I dont wish to part the RECARO'S. I'm looking for the framing for the drives side, really all I need, and in the DFW area to avoid shipping costs. 469.879.4369:rock:

I was just saying a lot of work as far as hoods go, the guy who is known for making them in the uk claims 40hr. I wish mine would build itself.......oh and that money would just grow on trees too!:D

Yea I bet it takes some time, but 40?? Been talking to a body guy on his opinion on this area, instead of welding(my first thought) he's recomending bonding, makes since not to genereate heat that would require more plaining of the hood. Also instead of from the top(again first thought), come from underneath, depending on the braces, an area I will be looking into.

Does anyone know if the vents had drip pans under them or does rain drain on motor, I'll be
planning on making some

Yea when I get home I gotta go trim my trees back, and maybe trim my girlfriends bush......es

I also heard ~40hrs quoted from that RS UK site. But the end result is well worth it imo, very sharp looking hood vents.

As for the drip pans, most pics I have of are WITHOUT anything to shield from water etc... but then again I think most of those cars never SEE rain on their hoods. The single car with sierras that had guards used a similar shaped sheet metal with a 1/2" spacer to direct water away from battery/intake etc. I will look through some of my pic folders for images.

Rumor has it CaysE has some new things to show us pics of as well... Or is he still being lurked by WRC on these forums? ;)

Come to think of it the Cossie doesn't have much to drip on. Motor n&s, airbox on right and coolant tank on left, even the 3DR Cossie had no pans just straight through

Rumor has it.......
