I know I saw it somewhere months ago, any companies out there that will recal a valvebody?

Also for you experts, what do they actually do to recalibrate it? maybe it's something I can do myself, or find someone at work who can. THere's tons of calibration guys for everything from torque wrenches to automatic flight control system test sets lol...

when they recalibrate the valve body... they change the way the fluid flows and how fast it flows... and how much pressure it flows with... kinda like a shift kit... but doesnt do it with springs and gaskets....

most transmission shops can recalibrate a valve body... but if i where you... i'd go on and pick up a lentech or simular instead of messing w/ the stocker... too much risk if who ever does it.. gets it wrong.... which isnt uncommon even for a professional...

I realize that but my goal is keeping it cost efficient...if I'm going to get a lentech VB I might as well get a lentech everything then seeing how then I know the whole tranny will be reliable... I'm willing to take the risk though that the tranny will not be up to a "lentech" standard that's why I'm inquiring about all this tranny stuff piece by piece :)

I've got a Lentech VB that I could sell you, if you wanted to use the good parts. One of the valves sticks in it (badly), it was one of the rare Lentech defects (they sent me another one that works fine).

Apparently the valve springs (all or some) are different, and they have opened (bored/drilled or otherwise widened) certain passages, either in the body itself or in the separator plate, or both. Maybe you could look at it, and compare side-by-side with your stocker and figure it out.

If you really want to keep costs down, I could just sell you the bottom, without the solenoids (it's already boxed that way for a guy that changed his mind). PM me if you want it.

^   I never looked at the date... the answer before mine was contemporary... :screwy: :bang:

Oh yeah, if anybody else wants the VB, PM me...

Sorry to say, No... Len said they honed it and it worked okay when they sent it back, but Len wasn't the one who did the work and couldn't vouch 100% for the end result. I'm not sure if it might be hone-able to fix, they just sent me a new one and it worked, so I never tried... I was going to keep it, just for the unique parts, etc... but if someone wanted to play with it and see if they can free it up, they might have a real cheap Lentech, for the price of the risk.

It could be yours to play with for one fifth the price (shipped) of a new one (or one tenth if you only want the lower VB without the soleniods).
