Am I 'allowed' to post here? lawl.
I can still see air under the rocker, the wheels are not tucked and they need to be about 3" wider, with skinnier tires and four moar degrees of negative camber.

I think that might satisfy our resident fitment gods.

/sarcasm.

I wish you were going to Carlisle this year man.

It seems like the "stance movement" is already starting to die down in the focus community. Funny thing is it just started about a year ago. I know some like Mitch had the poke/stretch/stance before that, but I think a year ago is when a lot of people started to talk about doing it. It's definitely more challenging on a Focus then say the VW community, but I think that's what makes it more fun. Not everyone is doing it and it's not for everyone either. I'm rambling now and this post is pretty much useless

^ A pic I like of my beater wheels...I know I've posted it before. Since I don't daily my car anymore, I've thought about selling them, but I'm having a hard time letting them go. I might change out the bolts and do some painting to them who knows. I'd REALLY like to widen them to 8.5s up front and 9.5s in the rear if I can find somewhere that I trust to do it.

Weldcraft here in MI handles a lot of out of state work. They do quality stuff, I see lscfn10's wheels all the time and they did good work on widening them.

My $0.02 is that I dont care who has "the two dopest cars in the game right now." Who cares, this isn't the dope car thread, its the euro wheel thread, yet I'm reading through pages upon pages of mutual nutswinging.

I'd post pics of my car, which I think is going towards a euro set up, but my wheels are Australian and I've already whored my pics in my rig thread.

And just to try to at least contribute I'll pic a random picture of a car with euro wheels. Duplicate? I dont care, I'm not reading through all the back and forth lovey dovey bull**** to see if its already been posted.

Not a Focus but I dont care, Burrough's BMW is sittin proper on some re-drilled Benz wheels and I love it.
Well, theindustrialist and stage3's wheels are more JDM, but they fit here. I think this thread is more for the stanced Euro look rather then JUST wheels from Europe.

Yes, Mike Burroughts e36 is soooooo nice. Hung out with him at SOWO and he is such a cool and very modest guy. Not at all what I was expecting.

Yea, I'd definitely recommend Weldcraft if you can't find something more local. Awesome guys, and really great quality work.

Ohkay, well I'm to lazy to post mine here atm.

Yea, when I saw that car at sowo I stopped and stared for quite awhile.

Damn that is some serious poke in the front, you almost need spacers in the rear to even it out. It looks super aggressive though. What suspension are you running?
Bilstein Coilovers, K-Mac campler plates and SPC camber arms for the rear. And maxed out too. :D

I'm thinking of going with a pair of 215's in the rear to even things up a bit. And i think i can run a little less camber too. What choo thinky?

Flea, what are the specs on those wheels again? It's been so long so I remember seeing them.
Wheels are Mustang Cobra R Replicas (made by Voxx). 17x9 ET20 Tires are Falken Ziex 512's 205/40.

I did some research on tires before buying these for the stretch and read all sorts of good comments on these. And they're soft tires. They're don't feel like they're stretched.

Think you've seen those.

I do like the idea of 215/40's in the rear as IMO that would give it a meaner stance with the wider tread, fill more gap too.

As for bringing the fronts in... I don't know anything about steel inserts other than they exist. Perhaps shave the hubs down 10mm, and put inserts in to make the lug holes strong again. I may be completely off on their purpose, but it is a thought and would give you the desired look.

I love the wheels on your wagon. The style looks great, but for my tastes the fronts are too aggressive. None the less you have pulled them off very well, I didn't think it would work. I few tweaks though and I am sure you'll make it even better.

^^^^^
512s?
They do stretch quite nicely!
I'd say you are pretty close to perfect. some camber bolts in the rear would give you that extra degree or so you need/want. a small spacer in the back would help to even it out with the front a touch more. unless of course you could machine down the hub faces on the front wheels 3mm or so!

anyone got Ny details on the focus on Porsche wheels ?
convert to 4x100 bolt style hubs, buy some 4x100-5x130 adapters from H&R or one of the many places that makes them for VWs. you'll need to open up the inside hub bores from 57.1mm(VW) to 63.4mm(focus) iirc.
there are adapter thicknesses from 18mm to 45mm thick from what i have seen. you want to look for the HIGH offset late model Porsche wheels like D-90s and newer. anything 50et+ you can make work with little extra modifactions. look at some pics of 8s, 9s, 10s and everything in between on Focus' to get an idea of the fitment you are after. Wheel offset (-) spacer thickness will give you the final offset you will be working with. (eg: wheel ET = 65, spacer thickness = 25; 65-25=40et final offset)..... just make sure you get your back spacing right!

Some 18x8.5 and 18x10 993 Turbo Twists would look sick on the right focus! :)

my cars are jokes, i certainly don't see either as being anywhere near the nicest cars in the scene even if others do.... that being said, i love your stance! the wheel origin doesn't matter its how you make them fit. pretty sure the first Focus owner to Widen a set of wheels and i've got nothing but  :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: for you for doing it and doing it right!!

also, there is also a european car thread going on, this thread is more Fords, other 4x108 cars plus modified Focus' to run other patterns with killer stances.

I know what you're saying, but at the same time I know of some stuff that might reignite the flame

When I saw flea first start posting about his project, I wanted to be all mad "EDM." Now I'll settle for some low and something that isn't steelies

I have a photoshop of what it will look like, but I'm guessing I'll get flamed because I haven't done it yet. So i'll just leave you guys with a hint: dr20 knockoffs

I wanna see pics of yours on the road already!

And my bad, saw a VW on first page figured it was fine, oh well

will be a while before that happens! :(
took the car out to my buddies shop to start bending the cage but the tow truck crushed my front bumper on the drive over some how so now that is added the the list of things to do before final pics come.
i had to do some changes tot he front brakes to make them fitbetter while i was out there so the front stance should be perfect once i get the right length springs in there, no rub and no additional fender work! ;)

those pics are old. circa 06! they are RH's like mine, actually the car the prompted me to buy my RH's although his are 8s up front and 9s out back...

i have pics on my old computer, will have to see if i can find them...

You don't have to settle for anything. Post up the look that you want and for what budget. Most likely it can be achieved with the help of several of us that have a "wheel" problem. I want to see more widening, redrilling, custom powdercoat colors. People always talk about how they want to be different, it will take that kind of work to be different.

These Simmons wheels below were 16x7 20mm wheels for '87-'93 Mustangs or Merkurs. Because of widening, they are now (F)16x8.5 39mm et & (R)16x9 45mm et. THE SIZES are UNTRUE, because the widening process leaves the wheels a few mm smaller due to the cutting process. Thus, the inner barrel's have more clearance than a TRUE 16x8.5 39mm et & 16x9 45mm et. lscfn10 was willing to put the time and money into the wheels, and I think most will agree they look good and very unique to the focus. I want to see more of this!

Just two years ago, 7.5" wide wheels on a focus was WIDE. Now, I wouldn't even run that for my fronts.

Within the last 2 years of reading these boards, I have decided on MY perfect sizing. I have decided that 8.5" 35mm et up front is perfect fit for full flush. I have in my possession, a 17x8.5 35mm 4x108 wheel. I can tell you everything you need to know about that.

With everything I know, I still can't decide what the "perfect" rear sizing is. I do know that 9.5" rear wheels can fit flush... BUT, shock body sizes and camber can cancel that! I have stanced wheels on order, I wont know if I ordered 'the perfect sizes" until they get here. After I get my set-up, I will be happy to help anybody on fitment.

I just have a few various hurdles to overcome:
My coilovers are for 00-04, I have an 07. I refuse to pay for an "omni" kit, so I'm going to get something made for it.
I have no tools to install my suspension with. I just moved, and was using my fathers tools.
Still debating whether or not to go with the dr20 knockoffs or buy something used and get them redrilled. If I do this, then it will be even longer, and I'v been waiting for months already. Altogether, I'm looking to spend 600 at the most. 200 on coilovers, 300 on rims, 100 on install (hopefully.)

As you can tell, I'm a cheap ass. Also, don't give me any of the "you get what you pay for" ****. That isn't always true.

The stretch and poke thing is already dying, I don't want to be a follower. But I am hoping for something lower then what you usually see. I hate when people on these Focus sites talk about being low, and have pics where theres a gap above the tire. Sportlines are NOT low.

starting to rant now lol. but screw it, I'll post up my quick shoop. Not much going on, but I just got some new 195/60s, so those will be staying untill I find a good deal on some 50 series. If you squint your eyes, you can almost see where I tried to make it look real, lol. Also, I'm not really sure about the limits of the coilovers I have, so no clue on how low they'll be.
