Dang Evan, that looks great - and doesn't look like it changes the seating height much at all. With the black plastic covering the seat bracket it would look factory installed (or painting it black like you said), except better. :thumbup:

Nice job and great shots of how-to.

As for the height, since the seats are bolted to the factory location the height adjuster still works perfectly. Right now its almost at the max height because that was easiest for fitting the bolts and taking pictures of them. I like my seating high however so I'll be playing with the height to get it comfortable for me.

Great work Evan! Like you I wanted to retain the airbag sensor, but was just to lazy to fab something up. I really hope that you can get the side plastic covers to fit....clean and factory looking.

Worked on the screen surround today, sanded and filler primered and sanded and primered and sanded. Decided to go with "Hammered Steel" paint color for it and laid down a few coats.

Might be reinstalling it tomorrow finally...not have any knobs for the past few days (i.e. defogger during downpours) sucks.

Yep, same size as the old wheels and so I get to reuse my Neogens that I just bought

Other stuff I've been working on:

Reinstalled the center stereo/HVAC bezel bit after resanding, filling, and painting. I'm not super happy with it as I've said earlier but it'll do for now. Especially the color, its been flat/satin black for as long as its been modded but I decided to try out "HammR Steel" paint on it to see what it looks like. I might warm up to it, I'm not sure.

They measure 8" from lip to lip but 7" from bead to bead so I'm not sure how exactly to label them...
