How about August 8th: Autocross at Groves Stadium in Winston Salem? Free to spectate, $25 to race.
Only thing is you would have to get there by like 9:30 at the latest to be able to register to race.

Either Fayetteville changed their test n tune or I got it mixed up... I thought it was always on a Sunday. Friday night could be do-able, but I wouldn't be able to get there at 7... traffic is usually really bad on Fridays coming out of Raleigh.

The autocross sounds like an idea... I'd just spectate though. What time is the event?

Racing usually starts around 10am.
I help run tech which closes at 9:45, registration closes at 9:50 or so (for anyone that wanted to race).
There are usually 4 run groups running non-stop 'til about 3:30-4:00 when its over.

Cool... sounds like it would be cool. Anyone else interested in this?

I'm defintiely interested but, I may be doing road atlanta on the weekend of the 8th.

The test and tune day is still on sundays from noon until 6 at the fayetteville drag strip. Tends to be a lot more crowded at night on fridays, since a lot of people come out to party after all the racing. Especially on the first friday of the month.

I am thinking of heading to the track this weekend but not really sure. They have a dyno nights at Epic motorsports and apparently this saturday night they have an import night at the 1/4 track. They do stuff every weekend at the track. Not sure about doing a car club thing though, I guess it would be interesting. I have yet to really find a good place around town to have a good g2g.
I have yet to dyno the car after most of the engine upgrades. Friend at work told me it is like $50 when you are not doing it with a group.

Wow, if you can find a dyno that will do it for $50 for one car, go for it! Thats generally the rate I've seen charged for groups (car clubs, G2Gs, etc...)

If you drove 9 hours for a NC meet, I think we would need to give you some award lol that would be crazy. At the very least a beer or something. BTW Disciple is one of my favorite bands.
