You know, Ford just doesn't get it. No 3dr. and no wagon. We're getting the C/S-Max don't you know. Whatever. I know to scratch the Focus off my list. The ST won't be in my price range. I'm not a mini van driver either. The wagon turns out to be the best looking of the bunch, but not for the US. Oh well. There's always the Jetta wagon.

o0o0o i love those multi spoke wheels, i hope thats the stock option, i like them more than the big 5 stars that the original shots had. or i can scrap em both and get a pair of st wheels when they arrive mwhaaha

I do wish we would get the wagon, but I can see Ford's reasoning with the 5-door hatch (which I would take over the wagon for myself) and the C-Max. Wagons don't sell very well here, but then again, I used to see a ton of Focus wagons, and I don't think there are many Focus-sized wagons in the U.S. market.

yeah i agree, since americans despise the word wagon, i think the cmax will do much better since its more like a little MPV.

no doubt the wagon looks great thats for sure.

Not sure about "despise" (I get nothing but compliments on my wagon), but with the threat of gas price increases being real, the wagon would be a viable, option for a small family.

These mini-mini vans have not been best sellers here in the US either. The C-Max is supposed to compete with the Mazda5 and the Kia Rondo. Perhaps these are popular elsewhere, but I rarely see a 5 or Rondo in my area.

I see TONS of Mazda5s around Michigan and Ohio. Mazda has sold them better than they expected here in the U.S. They intelligently planned for low sales volume (which they could do, as the car doesn't change all that much around the world), and were pleasantly surprised when it did better than expected. During the high gas prices, at least at the dealer here, they sold like hotcakes.

Personally, I *hate* how big our Honda Odyssey is. I would much rather be driving a Mazda5 (or a C-Max in the future). The problem is convincing my wife.

Sharp range overall; I find myself putting Wagon and Sedan a close 1 and 2 with the Hatch at the bottom of my list. The combination of squared off haunches and the sedan's less chunky and awkward taillights do a lot for the Wagon. I'm surprised because I wasn't a huge fan of the wagon from it's Geneva reveal pictures. Doesn't really matter since we don't get it anyway.

Personally, I don't like the effect the multi-spoke wheels have on the overall look of the Focus--seems to give it a more jacked-up appearance to my eye. The excellent 7-spoke wheels seen on a couple of the testers will hopefully be available, but the Wagon's 5-spokes do a nice job. I like the chrome housings in the headlights as seen on the previous show cars instead of these black ones.

Should be interesting to see if we get the projector beam lights since the Sedan has consistently been shown with only the regular halogens while both the Hatch and Wagon have always had projectors at shows.

The wait must go on, fortunately it's not too much longer now.

Dear Ford,

Please make the ST available in the wagon like you made the ST170 available in the wagon for the MK1.5 Focus.

KTHXBAI

I think the sedan is the red-headed step child for sure. The wagon would only look good in my mind if that rear end was dropped about 3 inches. It looks like one of those dedicated handicapped minivans that has the rear raised intentionally to carry weight waaaaay back there. Silly.
