Hey guys. I bought a 2005 ZX4 SE last fall and I love the thing. For Christmas I got the windows tinted and a spoiler put on and now I'm starting to look at all the possibilities with these. This is only my second car (my first being a Geo Metro) so I've never really dealt with any modifying or any of this. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on ways to make my car stand out a bit. I don't want it looking like a rice-burning racecar straight out of need for speed (although the street appearance is SEXY), just stand out from the everyday bare bones factory car, either cosmetic or appearance upgrades or performance upgrades. My funds are also pretty limited so if you're thinking of suggesting something over the top, please don't even bother. Just some cheap, subtle, nice improvements, cosmetic or performance. You guys really seem to know your stuff. Suggestions?

Gut it! Its very cheap, subtle (if your tint is dark) it is cosmetic and boosts the performance all around, so its full of win.
But if thats abit to far, you can look into lighting. like changing every thing from that terrible green color to something better.

Spray the head unit surround, mph dials surround and vents, nice new foot pedals maybe new shifter knob and handbrake, some accent lighting.

I really want to smoke my tail lights and side markers. For $13 a can for the light tint, I think the only obstacle would be convincing my parents to let me. I'm making the payments but it's not in my name, so I really can't do a whole lot with it at the moment. My dad used to be a state trooper, so I hear a lot that smoking the tail lights is "a reason to get pulled over". Haha. But I think it looks a lot nicer than getting aftermarket lights and as long as they're smoked gray and not solid black, I think I'd be ok. Just have to convince the parents... I can't wait until this car is in my name and I have a job that can pay for the things I want to do with it...

Well you can get lamin-x. It goes on just like a sticker so it can be removed if needed.
