Lever or crank are both correct. They both us a pivot and apply force.
Yes but a crank usually applies a rotational force to the pivot itself......whereas a lever usually applies a force to the other side or around the pivot.

its a torsonal spring loaded PULLY that is controled by a CRANK in imrc box that is attached with a CLIP

i work as a mechanic on bowling machines (brunswick a-a2) they have a simmaler set up on the moving deck the detector (IMRC) at a predermend point tells when to pull the cable on the pully (DSI LEVER/PULLY w/e) shifting the deck (RUNNERS) then at anoter predermend point the torsional spring acts to return it back to its origonal position.
 
^^No, it's a car with a highly desireable grille the gentlmen wants to liberate with his lever (levers are good for prying and stuff).

My questionis how the hell do you get the damn thing OFF!?!?!?! I want to replace mine and can't get the old one off.
