Well for those of you that have been wondering what I have been doing for the past couple of months... I was working on a project at work that required alot of my time and I finally finished it on Monday...

Well on Tuesday my company had a catastrophic server failure and my 2 months of hard work was wiped out.... Backups were damaged and we may have to restore to May 20th which is right about where I started to make progress on this thing..

UGH!!!!

UGH is right! I take it you cats have already tried pulling the drives out of the server to see if they're still readable?? :dunno:

Thats sucks mexican donkey balls Dev.

Can I unload my extended family off on anyone here? I really hate dealing with family sometimes.

Yep... It's bad. Raid setup and from what I know the redundant drive failed at the same time as the drive next to it failed. This is some **** that you hear about happening to others but never to anyone you know! We won't know till tomorrow the extent of the damage. The programmers we are using just had to shell out $10k for forensic data recovery services and they aren't sure they can get 100% of the data. We are just one of the small accounts that these guys work with. One of their major accounts is a company that does refurbishing and reselling with Apple.... Not good..... :(

damn that is some serious crap :( i can't believe the whole array failed. time for a larger raid next time? :p

They had 8 drives.. 2 failed... This server had a total of 5 years uptime so it was bound to happen at some point. They have had the replacements sitting around for a while now but were just too busy with day to day stuff that they couldn't get them installed.

Do you guys know if cosworth is a publicly traded company? And if so, where I might be able to find some of their past financial data?

Rick...I'm gonna venture a guess that you will be taking 101 or 1 up to laytonville, which case even I would be completely out of the way in napa...

Dev, that sucks super donkey balls bout the data loss...hopefully something can be salvaged.

Hi everyone! So, Mike and I are doing great...nothing is wrong...but if you have any good thoughts or prayers you could swing our way in the month to come, it would be much appreciated!! We could really use a lot of positive energy right now.

Made it to Fresno. My security deposit from LA was here in the mailbox. After commenting to me multiple times how clean I kept the place the landlord charged me $700 of a $1500 deposit. Looks like I'm going to small claims court. :rant:
