i have an 05 zx3 manual, and im pretty sure the alternator is going out on me.. im going try to get my guy to replace it but it he is unwilling/unable.. i would like some ideas about the cost of labor.. can anyone help?

another problem ive noticed is that when im driving and i shift into nuetral, the rpms will fall to about 2000, and stay there until im almost completly stoped... any ideas
a friend told me is could be the voltage regulator, but i believe its built into the alternater
