Where would I find some 16x8 steelies that would fit the '13 ST
Let see if I can do it right this time.

16x8 will be hard to find. Your only real shot is with Volvo wheels and most of those will be alloy. You might find something on eBay.uk though.

Hey guys im new here i was looking at some Diamond Racing wheels 4x108 and i was wondering what will be a perfect fit for my ford focus yr 2000 4 door.

i want something similar to the way this person has his rims.

i am not a fitment master by any means like these other guys however, i was looking at doing this for my car so i am aware of "about" what youll need
if you want 15 or 16s and depending on how much poke you want your going to need to buy something around like 15x8 or 16x8 and 5.25 - 5.75 inches of back spacing (these are measured in backspacing instead of "ET aka offset" the 5.25 should be ET 19, 5.50 should be ET 25ish (what looks like is the picture you want to achieve), and 5.75 is ET 32ish. the trouble is the places i called only made back spacing up to like 4.75 inches or 5inches max back spacing i cant remember, but i called the Diamond actual dealership/factory place. also i heard you may need to sand down or cut some of your caliper to get the wheel to clear them ( i dont like taht sketchy ass idea either so...) or you could use a spacer i assume. one last thing these arent hubcentric wheels either so it would make them kinda hard to get balanced so i heard. anyone else who has more experience feel free to chime in please :D

i thought about doing this because i thought it was "cheap" but looks awesome, turning out to actually make this work you would end up around $500-600 just for steelies, not too appetizing to me, you can be the judge of that though

Hi, im gonna swap the wheels on my focus from my current setup, i feel that theyre to big- 17 7j et38

Found a set of 15" 7j et45 (will space them out around 10mm). What tyres should i run? Was thinking 195/50r15s? Thoughts?

Good move or bad?

195/50 should be fine.

So I need to align my car and I thought of something. After putting the Focus Central LCAs on I'm not sure if the rear track width is the same. I got it dailed in today camber wise but the toe is off. So do you guys think I should measure the OEM LCA and then compare it to the FC one and deduct or add to the track width?

I just go pay for an alignment, but I'm lazy like that

you're correct....by adjusting the control arm you're changing the trackwidth....albeit only slightly....but that small amount is what your toe is also going to be off by. That's why I stopped doing string/level alignments and made nice with the local firestone and bought a lifetime alignment for $160. I can go back any time I want for a free alignment. I just have to remove my front bumper and they use a few 2x8's to get my car onto the HUNTER rack lol

I've thought about paying for an alignment but I'm cheap.

only other way to do it is find a way to measure your trackwidth and work from it that way....if you can find a way to measure that then you can try to figure out your alignment....

only way I can think of doing that is to create two parallel lines and measure from those two parallel lines to the centers of each wheel and figure out the distance between the fronts vs. the distance for the rears and come up with a correction factor for where to set your strings to adjust toe.

does that make sense? I'm very good at visualizing how to make things work but sometimes terrible at describing it hahaha

makes sense to me.

really, you don't need to know the track width if you have two perfectly parallel lines to measure from and you can get the car perfectly parallel inside them. It'd probably be easier to find the track width

What I would do to measure tack width is jack the car up by the control arms and put it on stands (stands under the control arms). this way it's in the air but the suspension never got unloaded. Then take the wheels off, and measure the difference between each rotor hat.

There is one other way to adjust/measure toe (that I forgot about). You put a L against each wheel with a tape measure in front and behind the tire. Your not adjusting your toe to track with then but rather zeroing out toe.

Yeah thats the one downside to that method. I'm going to measure my arms and go that way. I like doing my own alignment because I know its right. That and I hate dealing with oh well we can't align your car because its low and the camber is wearing your tires BS.

If youre going to use the laser system of a rack to find the thrust angle you might as well just have them align it too because youll probably pay the same amount
