There isn't much discernible difference beyond wheel and tire size and the lack of graphics on the aforementioned cars.

Neither do anything for me, while obviously are simultaneously revered by others. Maybe ruined was a bit too harsh, anything can be fixed, but I can't say either style is endearing. And just because a car is closer to its original ride height doesn't mean its on tired suspension. Just take a look at the pony cars on the previous page.

Like I said, to each his own.

There is a rather massive difference between a Gasser and a donk though, the Gasser at least came about for a reason in an attempt to gain traction and weight transfer for drag racing and it's hung around and become popular with the nostalgia crowd. Just go to a street rod show and you'll find examples of every generation of custom and drag racing look that ever was.

Donks on the other hand I simply don't understand, it seems they're nothing but an attempt to put the largest diameter tire/wheel combo on a given car with zero thought given to anything else.

Donks have a purpose too!

It's just a taste preference. I see no reason to really hate on any of the cars in this thread as long as the appropriate time and effort were put into their builds. Remember, this forum exists for a bunch of fwd, little motor econoboxes. At least if you listen to the big V8 guys. All of the car trends have a place ... There is no difference than old school lowriders, minitrucks, lifted diesels, gassers, donks, etc.... it's all a personal tastes issue. Some guys like steak and potatoes and some like escargot and caviar.

That Syclone has me nursing a semi right now.

That thing is oh so very very close to being the perfect 32, almost to the point where I don't like it because a couple terrible flaws.
It is my personal fave 32 that I have ever seen, in person or the web. I don't think I would change a single thing on it if I could build one.

Well, it's not my favorite grille shell, but not worth complaining about. I don't like the frame horn cover cow catcher thing. It's just awful. It looks like a 30s version of a ricey bumper on a honda civic had sex with a train.
