I think road course yes, auto-x no Kashus TBH. The powerband has shifted up quite a bit higher with the gtx3071. Also there is a bit more lag with this larger turbo than the standard gt28rs that comes with the FSWerks stage 2 kit. The boost comes on strong at around 4k rpm and by 5k rpm I've hit max tq. The hp rises in a very linear fashion all the way to redline and tq remains virtually flat the entire way. That's textbook road course where you are rowing the car above 4k rpm for 90% of the lap. It's no wonder Clint chose this set up for racing.
What I like for the street with this beast is that she's docile as a kitten < 3.5k rpm until I decide to get on her and that's when the guy in the next lane goes "wtf?"
Auto-x it would seem calls for a smaller, more torquey turbo with the powerband shifted left.
All in all I am super pleased with the results especially with how the power doesn't seem to roll off too much up top with the factory cams ;)

Thanks Dan. I'm prolly gonna run her at 16psi for a good long bit until I learn the car. Then I'll dabble in max carnage.
First things first, I gotta ditch the Goodyear 'stance' tire set up and get some sticky assed RE-11A's 225/40 all around ASAP.
18's will give me a slightly higher FD and should help me with wheelspin in 2nd gear, she should hook up no problem even at WOT in 3rd.
According to my last email from Vik, on the street the car is "pretty scary fast", so all the predictable traction I can get is now a priority over fashion.
Time to get serious.
The DD will inherit the Goodyears.

Just got her cleaned up, mostly -- still have to clean my interior from the long ass drive home.
Today is going to get her emission certified and tabs/registration.
I'll try to get a video up today or tomorrow of a drive by and also some in car acceleration.
Not sure if it would be kosher to show a WOT run as you get into insanely fast speeds in seconds and I'd rather head to the track and capture some good footage that won't aggravate the mods here.
Ordering new tires for the front today as well as some new rotors from Baer. They just came out with an upgrade for their track kit (which is on my car) which drops ~4 lbs unsprung weight over the cast rotors that I have on there now.
Also grabbing some Hawk HP+ pads for it.
Car is almost completely finished and I am thrilled with how she performs and looks.
Not sure if you saw my post over in the FSWerks forum but the car sounds like a semi truck at freeway speeds. It's uncanny.
Under full boost it's very 'whooshy' as the exhaust is very mellow sounding so you hear a lot of induction noise.
Sounds awesome. I'll get some vids up soon :thumbup:
