The bar is designed to absorb loads in a forward direction. The way you have it now, it will deflect downward in an impact. Also the longer the belt is, the more it can stretch.

Grassroots Motorsports had a very thorough write up in their last issue about the ways to properly attach and wrap all the belts in a harness system.

Link? The harness directions are worthless

Edit: looking at things closer, I need new harnesses. These are designed to mount as seen and are not able to be wrapped.

AAAHHH!

coilovers need a 5mm spacer(atleast, yay). 5mm means likely fender contract(and not just a little). that means the fenders need rollling. that means Ill worry about cracking the paint and finding a fender roller to do it properly OR i could remove the coilovers helper spring, but I dont like that idea. it was a selling point and part of the design.

Will removing the helper spring have a noticeable impact?

What should I do? opinions?

So I have decided ford engineered the focus SVT all wrong and that the fender wells arent large enough. That is my decision.

Ford only engineered the fenderwells for the stock suspension, wheels, and rubber.

Everything aftermarket is on your own conscious.

I disregard this reality and blame the engineer. As a business major this only seems logical. :lol:

As an Aeronautical Science and Aerospace Engineer major (read that as rocket scientist), my previous post remains true ;)

Although I should probably postface that with, "you're right, the car should have come with 245s"

The cable housing with the black ends is pretty tight though.
