Not sure but the owner looks familiar....

Nice little video....that road is about 20 minutes from me right now....

Good choice for chassis, good choice for motor build... looks like Eric made a convert.

Nice video, nice road, nice find.

That was fun to watch. He obviously approved (as do I). Le sigh, I need a bigger garage and more disposable ca$h.

That was great.

I feel the 18" wheels were a bit of a disservice to the canyon-carver bit... but that's all good. Great car.
I see what you're saying, but I think any good street car is a rolling compromise. I've got 16s on my car for the opposite reason; 17s "fit" the car better visually, but I can't drive my car on them, so I moved back to 16s. His car would probably be 5% more drivable with 17s, but it looks really, really good on the RS wheels.

It looks great, but California canyon roads aren't that smooth. You get less rubbing and better contact patch compliance with the biggest sidewall you can fit over your brakes.

This is one reason I run 16s with 215/50 tires on my SVT... bumpy backroad bliss.

That said, I'm not going to tell the man how to enjoy his car. If he is happy with how it handles the canyons with all that rubbing and 18" wheels, then so be it!

From what I gather the car never sees action or throttle usage like that, ever.

He made mention that he never scrubbed a tire until Smoking Tire drove the car.

About the only things i'd change on that car is get rid of the boat anchors(18s) and get some stiffer H&R rear CO springs.

Love it.

I'm sure Matt Farah's fat ass didn't help either.
