The gtech is accurate to itself, not real world results. My friend ran his at the drag strip to see how well it would read. His 14.6 at 96 run the gtech said he did a 14.2 @ 101. Pretty far off if you ask me. He had plenty of practice with calibrating it too. I managed to get a 7.1 0-60 in my old focus. My new one must be in the high 6's on gtech then. Or about low 7's in the real world.A G-tech is accurate if you know how to use it properly and understand it's limitations.. Otherwise you're hosed.
I get very repeatable and consistent results from mine... Almost new and with a few upgrades I could rip off consistent 8.1 0-60 times with my ZX3. I can now rip off consistent 7.7-7.8s.
I *can* be. It is a computer with a precision accelerometer.. Like any other electronic device it works within the feedback it is given. If given flawless input, it will produce flawless output. The problem with the G-tech is that it does not factor in body pitch and roll front to back.. As the back of the car squats, the G-tech squats with it, causing it to read more G-forces than one that would be level with the car. If somebody built a two wheel attachment to the side of the vehicle with no suspension play, I'd bet money that the accuracy would improve. The sloppier your suspension, the higher the discrepancy. The gtech is accurate to itself, not real world results.
The motor is a 347 (stroked 302) with TFS aluminum heads, extrude honed FMS Cobra intake, 42lb. injectors, cam, long tube headers, ect. I have Vortech V2 S-Tim pullied to 15 psi along with a sumped gas tank with external fuel pump and all 1/2" fuel line. Right now it makes 530 rwhp with a very conservative tune.fociS2 what do you have done to your mustang that runs 10 second quarter miles?
I think the word you're looking for there is "precise". The Gtech can be precise, meaning it will give consistent results, but may not be "accurate", which means giving the correct results. The gtech is accurate to itself, not real world results.
