These are made by ford, they arent chinese ebay junk

 

Sorry Ford Racing does not provide the spring rates on these springs.

So far I have not seen any issues with the quality of Ford Racing suspension kits or springs.

I don't think you need to worry about an uneven drop.

 

Okay, I have an '07 ST and this is one of the first things I want to do.
If I just get the springs, will my other components wear prematurely? Or should I get the whole kit? Coilovers would of been great, but still none available for the '06+ focus's.

Generally you are better off gettting the whole works since it's all designed to work together.

From what others have said, using drop springs on stock shocks/struts can shorten their life but there is no way to tell for sure.

Yes, you will.

Altering ride height will alter toe, which will wear the tires rapidly as well as tweak the handling toward the negative. Camber is affected as well, but will likely be tolerable.

Besides the fact that it's not always real easy to get everything put back in exactly the same place as when it was taken apart.

Even if you think you got it right it's not a bad idea to at least get the alignment checked.

i was under the impression that the only diff was the sway bars. i know the svt had a slightly lower stance but though the others where the same.

I have sold a few sets but I have not seen them on a car yet.

I hope they drop the car lower than the stock ST parts, the stock ST stuff is plenty high.

I'm fairly sure it'll be a decent drop even for an ST model.

Note that I have lower profile tires than most. Next set will be 225/45/17 instead of 215/40/17.

 

Agreed, ur wheels need more meat. with those tires your car still looks way high, that settles my debate on what tire size im going with.

IDK why but ur front still looks high to me?

 

i agree with whyme,the front looks higher than the back,maybe the ford racing spring with the 1.2 front drop and 1.6 back drop is the issue here.i think the same front and rear drop is better,and who makes the even drop?....

 

well remember that the rear is higher to begin with so lowering the rear more is ok. from the looks id say the front springs either arnt seeting right or theres a problem with the spings. could be the springs settling but i would have thought that the rears would have been higher in that case do to less wieght. guess we'll have to wait and see.


Edit: looking at the pics again the front looked high to begin with.

 

It'll be interesting to see where everything ends up after a little settling.

Have you measured to the top of the wheel opening front and rear to see what the heights are?

 

The rear parts were all torqued down with the proper up-force on the rear. Couldnt do that on the front, so its just gotta do its own thing, and let all the bushings and stuff adjust themselves. After beating on it for a day, there is already some difference in the front.
