ok, so a lot has changed in the last several months with me in the car world. i had a 2001 ZX3 that i loved and i traded it in July for an 07 charger R/T.

i loved that car, but I think i only got it to try and be cool since I started up my career after graduating college. It just really wasnt me though. V8 automatic is not really my preference.

so i do a lot of driving for work and wanted something good on gas so i bought an 04 svt from this guy in my area for a really good price. been driving that everyday for work and love it (aside from the coolant leaking now)

the whole time i was thinking of getting rid of the charger. then i get a call that the all new crystal white pearl mazdaspeed 3 has arrived and i just had to have it!!

so here i am...svt focus to beat on and a bad ass speed 3 to mod like crazy on. i love these cars but really miss my zx3 (especially because some kid bought it and bolted on an aluminum wing to the roof)!

here are some pics for you all. i love this car.

Dodge... Why not a Mustang? The speed3 would have been good if they had put the speed6 all wheel drive system on it. They killed it by only making it FWD and putting the limiter in the first few gears to reduce torque steer. They are going to redesign the 3 since it is getting old so hopefully they will do it right and make it AWD to keep up with the STI and EVO.

:rant:I don't like that Mazda 3! You should get rid of it!

Here, let me help you with getting rid of it....where do I sign my name for the title? And when can I take it off your hands? I'll make sure you don't have to deal with it again!

Looks GREAT! And wow, SVTF for a DD, AND MS3 in that white color!

thanks guys...the speed 3 is everything i've ever wanted in a car....the interior is amazing and there is an endless amount of power, or so it seems.

the mid model year change made the interior all black, added piano black trim inside, and offered this pearl white/galaxy grey.

i've been taking it easy so far on it..but i have spooled up a couple times and it's addictive

That '04 looks quite similiar to mine, particularly given the stance and color. I approve!

 You have obviously never driven one. Granted they could have made it AWD but then A) It would compete against the Speed6 and B) You then wouldn't be able to get one of these for ~$6000-$8000 less than the other two listed, which is part of the reason they are so great. And if they hadn't put the torque limiter in they really wouldn't be too fun to drive... at least hitting the gas while cornering and having it shoot you right into a tree isn't exactly my idea of fun, but suit yourself.

Awesome cars on both accounts, owning a black car as given me new appreciation for white autos and the SVT looks great too!

White.... very nice, am jealous!
You can disable traction stability control and dsc at the same time, when you keep pressing the dsc button as you start the car, until the dsc light in the dashboard disappear. Takes about 10 seconds. But you'll enjoy your car even more, with more steering feel.

those are two nice ass cars to have

if you want awd you should buy the ms6. limiting the boost in 1st and 2nd is smart. to whoever said that it isn't, learn a bit about the issue before commenting.

to the op, you should have got some interior shots! thats what i want to see, lol.

the all black interior on the speed 3 is ridiculously awesome. i like the black and grey, but the all black is much cleaner looking.

I think this is kind of an urban legend as far as what it does. I really don't believe there is a performance benefit to doing it. It just seems to make all the electronic whiz-bangery on the car seem to work less congruously. Actually traction control IS the DSC. The power-limiting effect in gears 1 and 2 is not really the DSC, as far as Mazda's lingo and literature are concerned.

The guys that have run datalogs while doing it certainly haven't been able to come to a conclusion as to what is ACTUALLY going on as far as I know, unless someone has stumbled upon the answer in the last few weeks.

That's just my $.02 :dunno:
