Definitely MUCH better then the uglified Tribeca nose but kinda mainstream now without the typical Subaru "quirkiness" is famous for.

subaru has fallen into the cars as "appliance" hole, ala Toyota IMHO.

They want to sell cars to IJAC.

You can't have polarizing styling and still sell to everyone.

I think most Toyota models out today are pretty hansom, i don't see where people are getting the whole "they look and drive like appliances" stuff...

in fact, the only things they sell that give me that impression are the Prius, Corolla, and Avalon..

I'm really not a fanboy, but they make some good products. I find Chrysler's products up until the last couple of years to be far more appliance looking and blah.

But I'm with FJ1, they toned it down too much (I AM a Subaru fanboy), but i also saw literally hundreds of Tribecas sitting on the lot with no buyers when we bought our WRX.

When I was finally getting use to, even kind of liking that "funky" front end on the B9, they go and make it look like the new Sebring.....?

I agree it's bland, but I think that will work with the target market. There's nothing really interesting about that car. It's just a very competent transportation appliance. It's an AWD Toyota Sienna. So, this will work.

It's not like this was supposed to be some Dakar racer or something. Though I wish they made one...

I don't know whats up with Subaru and all this extreme styling. They took the Tribeca from extreme left field all the way to extreme right field.....quirky to positively boring. Same thing with the Impreza's.

If they wanted all their cars to look alike, they could have at least picked the Legacy for their corporate look.

wow they changed ALLOT on the rear end really fast to bland it down. EVERYTHING from the back of the door back is different! The glass, D pillar, lights, bumper, hatch etc.. For how much they changed, it does nto look all that different. They could have simpally drduced the size of the plate opening in the hatch to just fit a US plate, rather than making the opening EU size. It would have just involved changing the sheet metal of the hatch cover, not redoing the entire rear end!
