18\'s on a lowered focus

Hi, please can someone help me, I have a '99 Ford Focus 1.6 which i have lowered by 40mm all round. Is it possible to fit 18's with 215/40 tyres??

As long as you have around a 45mm offset on the wheels you will be fine. The 215/40/18 is only 1/10th of an inch taller the the 215/45/17 that the SVT comes with and many people are running a much larger than 40mm drop on their SVT's.

I am running progress tech springs and have 18x7 wheels with 45mm offset and 215/35/18's. No rubbing at all and my next tire will be a 215/40/18. I have a svt which is about 3/4" lower than the zx3 from the factory.

40mm =1.5 inch incase any one cares

so if i get a wheel with a 42mm-45mm offset i should be ok?

but you have progress springs so you are just as low as any other focus with progress springs.
