those 2 cars were made to compete against eachother. They're just too similar.

2004 WRX STi Vs. 2003 EVO VIII Comparo test is out
In the June 2003 Automobile Magazine and Motor Trend Magazine they ran a comparison test between the 2004 Subaru WRX STi and the 2003 Mitsubishi EVO VIII.
Automobile test results:
Price WRX STi $31,545
0-60 mph WRX STi 4.9 sec
1/4 mile:13.5 sec @ 103mph
Top Speed: 147 mph
Price EVO VIII $30,062
0-60 mph EVO VIII 5.1 sec
1/4 mile: 13.9 sec @ 102 mph
Top Speed EVO VIII 155 mph
Motor Trend test results:
Price WRX STi $32,000-$32,500
0-60 mph WRX STi 4.87 sec
1/4 mile: 13.23 sec @104.6
Price EVO VIII $28,987-$30,217
0-60 mph EVO VIII 4.59 sec
1/4 mile: 13.08 sec @105.1
As you can see by the numbers the testing results do vary somewhat but at least we are starting to see comparisons being made now.
