so would this be the tribute replacement, thus the escape ford version will look somewhat like this?

or is this the Mazda version of the Ford Edge line (between the escape and the explorer)

they dont have to be speeding..... some cameras have a motion mode that will focus on the object and focus out of everything else.... makes for a good shot

This vehicle shares a platform with the upcoming Ford Edge and Lincoln Aviator. It is NOT an Escape replacement. The Escape will get an update but they may end up dropping the Tribute at that time.

Technically it's NOT an SUV. It's either a crossover or a sport wagon depending on who you're talking to... and it's not as big as you may think. I've seen the concept in person. Also, look at the pic above, especially the scale of the people inside in relation to the vehicle to get an idea of the size.

New pics on MPH... w/very little camo...
oh good, the one i posted looked like it was ready for a night of safe sex or something.

i didn't realize the mazdaspeed6 was a turbo 2.3... isn't that kinda small for a mid-size sedan? i woulda guessed it had a 6 in it... and not just because of the clever name.

do we have to push mazda to put it into a mazda3 so that we can get it on the C1 platform?

Why not just make a sport wagon, instead of another segment-buster. Well I know why, but I'm just so sick of all these vehicles that are trying to hide their station-wagon roots.
There are nothing wrong with wagons people.
On the plus side, the development of this motor is a very good thing.
