These are pics of a 2008 focus we recently put together for the bosses wife. The modifications include custom paint & pin striping, tinted head and tail lights, custom billet grille, shaved tailgate and tinted windows. This car has every option accept sunroof and leather.

We tinted the headlights but they came out a little dark. We will be adding an HID kit to it hopefully they will brighten up sum.I would recommend not tinting the lights so much or not the entire light.

This is the custom billet grille I created for the car. Since there is no billet grille that replaces the chrome factory grille we came up with this one.

This grille is actually for a ford fusion. The top six bares were cut from the top of the grille and shortened by 3 to 4 inches on each side to fit in between the headlights. I had to retain the the factory lower portion of the grille witch was cut off with a sawsall and screwed to the bumper with two self tapping screws.

I bent up some aluminum strap that I secured to the rad support with more self tapping screws.I then screwed two brackets to my aluminum that came with the grille kit.The grille was then screwed to those brackets in the two remaining grille attachment points. It is held in a lot stronger than I imagined.

Here is a rear shot of the car we shaved the emblem and key hole. The taillights and trunk light came out great and they are easy to see day or night.

Here is a close up of the paint and pin stripe although the car got a bit dusty right after I washed it. All the custom paint is only visible in direct sun light and hardly noticeable without the sun like a ghost effect. The car looks completely black at night. Future plans for the car include a body kit (3D Carbon),different wheels and maybe lowering springs.Hope you people like the car.

how many coats of nightshade did you use on the headlamps i have been thinking about doing it to mine, but i dont want to be in the same boat. That grille is awsome! if you ever decide to mass produce that let me know i might be up for buying one.

Damn impressed with how that grille came out.

It really seems to bring a flow to the odd lower... portion of the... upper grille (really Ford... really?) in which Ford wasn't able to create with their stock grille.

With the stock, bulky chrome bars the lower portion of the upper grille (herein lpotug, pronounced "lipo-tug") looked really awkward and out of place.

Here:

It's looks sporty, and has a really good flow to it. I actually LIKE the lower mesh on this car.

Nevertheless. DROP!!!

Personally, I would have just tinted the stock 3 bar chrome grille. If you still have it, I'd give it a try and see which one you like better. That's what I'm gonna do with my Fusion...tint all of the chrome so that it looks like "black chrome". When I had my 08 Focus, I planned on opening up the headlights and tail lights, and just tinting the chrome, instead of the lens cover. Just a few ideas to throw your way.

I think what you have is a good start. Once you lower the car, and add the 3d Carbon kit, you'll be on your way.

that grill doesn't look bad at all, and thats coming from someone that doens't like billet grills at all. I think it'd look much better black tho.

I love it, tramp-stamp on a Focus!

I really don't understand why people render their headlights useless by shading on top of the lenses, but to each his own

I kinda like the grille

Looks good. Nice job on the custom grill.

You did go way too dark on the headlights. If its just night shade, I would wet sand off 75% of the tint and give them a nice buffing.

Thank you for all your comments and criticisms. I definitely agree that the car should be lowered these cars are defiantly way to high from factory and the angle of some of the pics did not help it any. The flame paint scheme were chosen by the bosses wife and are not quit my taste ether. Se did like the truck flames untill her son in law told her they looked like a TRAMP STAMP (he-he). We are planning on painting the grille and brackets black as well, but when I finished the grille it snowed the next day so we will put it off till spring. As for the head lights we are going to try the new HID kit we just picked up on them first before we decide to sand them down.

Nice work, good effort. I don't care for blacked-out headlights, and I think that grille would look even better if it were powder coated black. Oh, please don't convert those factory housing headlights to HID, either. Otherwise, one of the oncoming drivers you blinded may follow you and punch your nutsack until you sound like Micky Mouse.

This grille is actually for a ford fusion.

Curious, but what year of Fusion grill did you use? And did you use a stock grill, or an aftermarket grill? If it's an aftermarket grill, from where?
