yes, it is optional. You can get it in blue too...just like the blue suede package that i have in my 09 Fusion. I know that I just bought my Fusion, which I traded in my 4 month old 08 Focus for, but I'm DEFINATELY trading my Fusion in on a 2010 Fusion Sport. I said that 3 months ago when they released info on it. :D

Just save the wheels for the new car and you'll be golden!

Not me man. Believe it or not I'm liking the new Taurus SHO.

My wife's lease is up next February so I'm going to hand off the Fusion to her and I'll be looking at the Focus, the Fiesta, The Taurus, or maybe The C30 again. I know that's all over the place but there's a lot of good stuff out there pulling me in different directions.

Another golden age for Ford is on its way!!!
more like THEE golden age...everyone will be begging for money, putting out half assed facelifts, and hoping stay afloat.

Ford will be putting out cars that will make the jap/euro stutter....all if not better quality, mucho mpg, and even performance :D

Re: those red seat inserts. They look horrible. I've seen it in person and it looks even worse than the photos.

I'm sure that it will appeal to someone but I thought it was very tacky.

The Blue Suede in my car takes some getting use to but I think right at home in a black or blue car.

I'm not....X-Plan buddy. I bought my fully loaded 08 Focus SES for $15,000 (sticker was $19,500) made 3 payments on it, and got $14,750 trade in. Then I bought my 2009 Fusion for $20,000 (sticker was $23,500) and I could probably get about $19,000 or so for it. :D

yes sir. Ever since I first layed eyes on it. I was pissed that I didn't wait to get my Fusion.

Why the hell does that car sit so damn high? It's worse than the 2.3 Duratec PZEVS, fer cryin out loud. Someone get me a stepladder!

And what's with the red BS in the interior trim and seats? Yeesh... BLACK interior in my cars, please...

Other than those two complaints, it's a sharp looking car... and if Justin's all over it then it can't be that bad from a dynamics standpoint.

Or is it just the NASCAR in him? <3. :D :p

 I beleive it... Ford is the only major US automaker not accepting a government hand out, that gets my respect.

Ford gets a two thumbs up from me... still not the sleekness of the Mondeo, but they took an already great looking Fusion, and upped the ante. I'm looking forward to seeing sales numbers. Between this and the new Hybrid Fusion, and all the varitions that new car customers can have with this car is excellent.

I'm with you on that. For a "sport" edition it looks like it's riding pretty high.

The new Fusion Sport is a huge improvement from the current production model. I love the new front end! A little too much chrome, but a big improvement over the current model. My only complaint is the steering wheel. Every Ford that has the wheel is very uncomfortable to drive with. The spokes are so thick you can't wrap your fingers around the wheel, so unless you drive like a pimp, the steering wheel is annoying.

Really?

Not that any of us have sat in them, but they look far less supportive than my Recaros. And they do an awful job of trying to look like the Recaros.
The general design of the seats, not necesarily the color. They look to have more side-bolster than most of the current stuff. Also, the fact that they tried to mirror the design, not just the material, in the back seats as well catches my attention.

Man, every time I see this car I realize more and more that I wish I would have waited. Either way...I'm just about 95% sure that I'll trade mine in on one of these...if I can get the numbers to work out right. I just know though that as soon as I do, they'll come out with an ECOBoost version. So maybe I'll wait just a little while in case they do.

Mr. Squire...I can't comment on the "dynamics" of it until I drive one....then I'll have a full report.
