Coming off of the highway I tried to downshift into 5th gear and it wouldn't go into gear. When I got to the bottom of the ramp and stopped, I couldn't get it to go into 1, 3 and 5th gears. I had to take off in 2d gear and then to 4th and 6th gears. This car has over 100K miles and not shifted hard. Anyone else have this problem and how was it fixed?

Check the top of the transmission under the shift tower. Stupid, but sometimes a plastic clip or something else can fall onto the top of the transmission and prevent one of the arms from moving.

One of the shift cables may have popped off too (on the shift tower or on the shifter in car).
