I would say buy either a cat back or SCT Xcal 2....(Granted you will need a little more money for both)
I'd get the Cosworth Flexpipe and maybe ditch the lunch box (second muffler) out back.

This MIGHT help some, but for 300, I'd look at an SVT suspension or maybe some brake upgrades, Stainless steel brake lines and some upgraded pads. Even if you don't have much power the suspension and the brakes will make it MUCH more fun to drive.

If he has an ST, he doesn't have the lunchbox resonator.

I'd say save a little more for an exhaust, or get the SVT suspension while dealers still have them in stock.
i was thinking of getting the dynamic suspension kit, or some SVT dampers with some H&R sport springs, or a TB
you already have svt dampers, so why not just get the springs, and do NOT waste your money on a tb this early in the game

Word.
VF Rear mount......$100 from newedge
FC Race shifter....$69 from FC
FC stress bar......$40 from newedge
Saving money after shipping?.......well yeah you guessed it-Priceless

Save your money till you have $2,500 extra and then only spend $500.

If he's on a budget he should get the energy suspension inserts. They are just as good.
I'd agree with pzev04boy. Pick up the inserts instead of the full mount, and spend the cash saved on getting a Steeda Tri-Ax instead of an FC shifter.

what ever you do do not do svt dampers with anything but svt sprinds. they are not made for a lower stiffer drop. if you want hr sports save extra and get a set of KYB AGX to go with them or some other damper made for lowering springs.

Great pick

the lowered stance an stiffer body will bring the most grin to your face for the money.

Enjoy... BTW could you post how much you end up paying ofr instalation of the prings? I am aying them myself, but would like to estimate the instalation costs.

Yep, I put an SVT suspension on my little S model along with upgraded brake pads and lines and the little bugger is suprising, even with the junky 195 series all season tires. Maybe i'll upgrade to some 205 Falken Az's and get some real grip. But big downer now is I always do the one wheel peel in tight turns.

Oh, you'll love it even more with Azenis.

If you're buying RT-215s, get the 215 section width instead of the 205. The 205 will muck up your final gear ratio just enough to be noticeable.

Awwrightey, guys; two things:

195, 205, 215 are not series; they are section widths.

Section width X Aspect Ratio (..or series; 40, 45, 50, 55, etc...) = Overall Diameter which has a huge effect on the car's Final Drive Ratio (ring and pinion, ring and pinion + overdrive ratio).

Aspect Ratio (series) is expressed as a percentage of section width as sidewall height.

Pitch's observation that a 205 is shorter than a 215 is valid, but not without considering each tire's series, or aspect ratio which in this particular cause is either 40 and/or 45.

3/10, or .3 inch change in overall tire diameter can make a noticeable difference with how the car feels under acceleration.

As an example, here are the different overall diameters for four combos of 205, 215, 40 and 45:

205/40-17...23.5"
205/45-17...24.2"
215/40-17...23.9"
215/45-17...24.6" OE SVT size

FocusSTGuy, you'll love the improvement in spring rate; the SVT springs are 10% stiffer in front and 20% stiffer in the rear than the springs that come on your car.
