I have an 03 focus zx3 the transmission quit without putting in its 2 weeks. I can't find another without paying 1800 at the parts store. No scrap yard has one. My code is trrp0 somehow that sounds wrong, but that's what ford told me. I have the 2.0 zetec dohc. Will the 2s4r7 work? I don't have a lot of time to research this and I have no other vehicle to use in the mean time. Any help would be awesome.

Sorry, I don't know what those codes relate to. If you have a Zetec Focus, you are looking for an MTX-75 transmission. Any of the MTX-75s for the 00-04 Zetec Focus will work.

OK. Thank you. I did fix it. Removed the broke roll pin and replaced it with a bolt, nuts, and red locktite. So far, 75 miles strong.

Nice, glad it was a lot more simple (and common) than replacing the entire transmission.

Me too. Mainly because not a single used or reman in the entire country for mine. Not even a part. And I have never done anything like that before. Always a new adventure with the focus.

Update on the shift problems.....

Over 650 miles and going strong. I did happen to lose first, third, and fifth again 2 weeks later. But that was the linkage not being repositioned right. I did find that I can get the ends of the linkages. That's all. Now I have 2 more weeks to go till I know if I get to get back into building it again. Thanks for the help and advice.
